The Cottage

Really easy to get the keys, good facilities, comfy bed!

There was tea at the cottage but coffee would have been great. We were there for 5 days and only had one toilet roll, so a few more would have been helpful. The overall cleanliness was great but behind the bedside tables and the bed was really dusty so I think some deeper cleaning is needed. The WiFi kept cutting out so we couldn’t use it very well.

Comfortable and clean with a lovely bed and garden the views are stunning and it is very peaceful. I would describe it as quirky and simple

No recycling info or bin bags. Door latch on wardrobe kept falling off. Only an oven/grill/hob no microwave. Kettle had a dodgy button. Fitted sheet too small for bed and kept popping off, shame as bed comfy. Only 1 tea towel for week and 2 toilet rolls. Advertised as having great garden for dogs and the first 2 days were great then a man was working in a lean to at rear of garden and stated his dog was not friendly and it was showing its teeth. He went on to say we were distressing his dog yet mine were quiet and calm . He was there through rest of week at times till 7 or 8pm so we walked around the village with our dogs and didn’t use garden much afterwards. Fortunately the village has lots of brilliant walks. I wasn’t too happy with this aspect of the stay to be honest . On last day I saw another dog in the garden but not seen that one before and good job I don’t just let my dogs wander out as I have no idea of the dog’s nature

No washing machine or microwave

Er was iemand anders aanwezig en de cottage was overboekt. Heel lief geholpen door de vrouw die er aanwezig was. We hebben iets anders moeten boeken voor de nacht. De volgende dag konden we in de cottage en was de eigenaresse er. Tot de dag van vandaag geen geld terug ontvangen van onze overboekte nacht! De cottage is verder oké en huiselijk. Er was een probleem met vocht en de ramen maar dat gaat opgelost worden.

Tot nu toe nog geen geld terug ontvangen voor de overboeking. Geen echt zitje buiten: picknick bank aan vervanging toe.
