We cannot recommend Chez Mamé Marthe enough.
From the moment we drove onto the property we knew we'd picked the right place. The small orchard and tranquil garden was great. We were greeted by the owners friendly puppy and shortly after, themselves. Access instructions and further communications were strong and effective. We then saw the super clean pool in front of the holiday apartment and it already felt a complete win. In the bustling mountain resort during summer, we it perfectly combined being next to the town centre whilst also providing an immediate and nearby escape from the rush of summer tourists. The apartment itself was rustic large, clean and well maintained. We loved having different spaces to utilise. The multiple air conditioning units were a real treat during the height of summer! I cannot recommend this apartment and the hosting family enough! We had an amazing stay, it was a perfect launchpad for our wider Ardeche adventures but also made us wish we'd had more time to spend there. The host was super friendly, helpful, provided great communications before and during our stay but also clearly understood the delicate balance of being sociable whilst also being able to allow any guest their own space and privacy. We really can't wait to come and stay again at Chez Mamé Marthe!

The location was great, in the center of town. very private. lovely apartment, will designed and decorated. Quiet with a lovely pool. host was great, didnt speak much english but her daughter did and was lovely and really helped us out. highly recommend this place.
As my husband is very sensitive to smell, we noticed that scented fabric softener was used on the linens which was abit strong for him. other than that it was absolutely perfect.

Friendly owner, beautiful accommodation and excellent location
Very warm welcome. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. The pool was warm and perfect for a swim. The first morning we found fresh bread and croissant for breakfast and the fridge had everything we needed to start us off. The location was perfect. Very quiet but only a couple of minutes from the lovely town of Vallon-Pont-d'arc with its many restaurants. I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely gite and its owner. The owners daughter lives on site and speaks excellent English and is always willing to help.
