A very special place. Well furnished with all we required for a pleasant stay. A very beautiful terrace overlooking the valley was a highlight—we enjoyed the sunsets. Only downside was it was a short walk to parking. I would recommend keeping luggage manageable.

A wonderful house just a few meters from all restaurants and shops in Vallon . Perfect situated in a alley. You live in the centre but with privacy. Lovely house with everything you need for a vacation. Lovely view from the balcony and perfect little porch in front of the house to have morning coffee on. Three minutes to the bakery. Easy to get in touch with the hostess/owner of the house that shared some valuable information about the surroundings and what to see around Vallon. The weather was hot but thanks to the thick walls Of the house and that we keep it shout through the days the house was cool. I can warmly recommend this house for a stay I Vallon-Pont-Darc.

A lovely and classic French cottage and I highly recommend it

This is a lovely and classic French cottage and I highly recommend it. Plenty of room on three levels and a great small terrace (1st floor) looking out over beautiful Ardeche countryside. The cottage is down a narrow, medieval feeling lane and you wouldn't guess how close it is to the center of the town - really convenient. As English visitors, this was our first cottage rental in France and the rental contract (including taking out house/contents insurance) was initially a bit of a surprise but it was all fine and actually quite usual in France. The insurance was very easy to arrange (we took out a package for our whole holiday from Aviva for around £40). Parking is a little challenging and the spot used by the cottage cannot be reached if you have a largish car (my A5 was too long to negotiate the tight alley). Stairs in the cottage would be a bit steep for young children so better with friends or older children. A long drive from Calais so be sure to leave enough time to travel and check-in. Overall a wonderful place and I would highly recommend it if you want to stay in Vallon (which is also lovely) which is a good hub for the Ardeche.

This is a beautiful, quirky property in the old streets of Vallon Pont D'Arc. The house and its district is full of character. The shops and bars of Vallon are very nearby and the Thursday morning market is a delight. However , we experienced communication difficulties with the owner. We had to press for the deposit to be registered with Homeaway. Also meet up arrangements were changed at the last minute and, as there is no internet connection, we were unable to liaise over these. So this led to akwardness.

We really enjoyed our stay in the very nice and individual decorated house, it was quite ,although located in Vallon Pont darc. We were 5 persons and had more than enough space, and even our teenagers were happy with the stay, enough things to do areound. Thank you !

Notre famille de 6 personnes comprenant 4 ados a passé un excellent séjour à Vallon-Pont d'Arc en août 2015, et le gîte où nous avons été logés y a été pour beaucoup. La position de l'appartement à l'écart du flot touristique estival de Vallon dans une rue calme et ancienne, est un sérieux atout assurant la tranquillité et l'ombre pourtant à deux pas du centre-ville. Logis propre où tout a fonctionné (les deux salles d'eau, la cuisine...). Son décor est, de plus, remarquable quant au bon goût. On se sent comme logé chez des amis artistes... A ce propos, la propriétaire nous est apparue "à l'écoute" à notre arrivée jusqu'au départ après les trois semaines du séjour. Nos quatre enfants étaient satisfaits, alors que dire de plus?... maison très agréable et atypique. Attention aux escaliers qui ne conviennent pas à des personnes ayant des difficultés de marches (personnes âgées, enfants en bas âge). La maison est en centre ville ce qui est très appréciable, par contre pas de possibilité de se garer devant la maison. La maison est bien équipée. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

Une maison originale dans un charme ancien, bien entretenue. Une literie de qualité propre et de qualité. Deux salles d'eau spacieuses et fonctionnelles. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la terrasse ouverte avec vue par dessus les toits pour les repas du soir autour de la table en Teck. Nous y avons passé 2 jours agréables et espérons y retourner une prochaine fois.

Très beau séjour chez Frederique à Vallon Pont d’Arc ! La maison est très belle et décorée avec goût, très bien équipée. Il faut juste savoir qu’il n’y a pas de portes aux chambres mais des rideaux ! Idéalement située au cœur du village qui est un bon point de départ pour visiter l’Ardèche ! En prime, la maison est assez fraîche l’été ! Frederique et son mari sont charmants et réactifs en cas de besoin. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir dans cette maison pour finir de découvrir la région :)

Nous avons apprécié la maison de Frédérique , décorée et aménagée avec goût. Sa situation permet d'être en quelques minutes au cœur de la ville et des commodités sans avoir à prendre la voiture. La vue depuis la terrasse est apaisante. On aurait aimé discuter davantage avec Frédérique qui nous met facilement à l' aise et nous conseille sur les sites à visiter.

Mit unseren 3 Kindern ( Jüngster 6) hatten wir eine tolle Zeit in dem liebevoll renoviertem Stadthaus. Abseits in einer schmalen Gasse kann man die Umgebung hervorragend erkunden oder in 2 Minuten das touristische Dorfzentrum für Eis und Crep besuchen. Baguette konnten unsere Kinder bequem jeden Morgen beim Bäcker um die Ecke kaufen. Die Ausstattung und Einrichtung entsprachen der Beschreibung und alles war sauber und sehr einladend. Es gibt zwar kein Wlan und Tv aber das braucht man im Urlaub auch wirklich nicht. Die Abende auf der Dachterasse sind eine mehr als angemessene Alternative. Im August war es unterm Dach leider zu warm zum schlafen aber es gab genug Ausweichplätze zum schlafen. Die Mücken waren etwas lästig aber das lässt sich wohl nicht ändern. Also fünf Sterne für dieses tolle Haus und seine Lage. Die Vermieterin spricht gutes Englisch und war sehr freundlich. Parken in den engen Gassen ist sehr schwierig aber wir haben die 5 Gehminuten vom Parkplatz am Friedhof bis zum Haus jeden Tag gemeistert. Ein- und Ausladen vom Wagen ging dann mit gemeinsamen Kräften sehr gut. Bitte bei der Vermieterin nach der genauen Adresse bzw. GPS Koordinate für das Haus fragen, kann sonst ein kniffliges Suchspiel werden.

Very nice house as central as can be in Vallon

We had very nice 10 days in this wonderful house in the old town of Vallon. Frédérique and her husband are very friendly hosts and where taking care that everything was in perfect order when we arrived. The house itself is located central close to the church and the „main“ street of Vallon. We liked very much that it was just a 2 min walk in the evening to a restaurant of choice or going for a drink or the night markets. The surroundings is great with nice bathing and swimming spots in the rivers, ie in LeBeaume and spectacular hiking trails in the region. Big Supermarkets are close and the house has everything necessary to create a special dinner on the terrace on the first floor. The beds are comfortable and we had perfect sleep during our stay. Temperature in July was more than 40 and consequently the upper floors where somewhat heated up, The way from the parking at the street is a few “steep“ meters, but this was not a problem and you get quickly used to a small healthy exercise. The interior looks exactly like on the pictures and is in good shape-the house was perfectly clean. Thanks again for taking time and giving us very good advice to discover some secret spots. Kommunikation mit der Eigentümer war unproblematisch trotz nächtlicher Anreise und früher Abreise. Das Haus ist wie beschrieben sehr gemütlich mit gewöhnungsbedürftiger Treppe. Es liegt mitten im Ort - Bäcker und Läden in 3 Minuten erreichbar. Leider gab es kaum eine Möglichkeit mit dem Auto nah heran zu kommen - die Koffer mussten durch nächtliche Anreise leider getragen werden (Kopfsteinpflaster). Wir waren 2 Wochen dort und würden das Haus sofort wieder mieten. Die Atmosphäre im Haus ist unglaublich, die Umgebung bietet viele Wanderwege. Bezaubernder Ort - wir sind rundum zufrieden. Danke für die vielen Informationen zu den umliegenden Orten. Minus: Leider gibt es im Haus keinen Internetzugang! Fernsehempfang gibts auch nicht dafür einen DVD Player mit Monitor- uns hat es nicht gestört wir konnten gut darauf verzichten. Dankeschön für den tollen Aufenthalt!

Wer an der Ardéche den perfekten Urlaub genießen möchte sollte dieses Haus mieten!!! In einer kleinen ruhigen Seitengasse... 2 Min Fussweg vom Markt und somit in der Mitte Vallons. Der tolle Ausblick von der Terrasse und die perfekt Aufteilung des Hauses hat unseren Urlaub einfach schön gemacht. Alles war sauber und es hat nichts gefehlt. Die tolle alte französische Küche ( Möbel und Herd sind natürlich neu) lädt geradezu zum kochen ein! Die Fotos hier auf der Website entsprechen in jedem Fall der Realität und wer es dann bewohnen kann wird noch mehr begeistert sein......:-) Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Ein liebevoll saniertes und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus, zentral gelegen im alten Ortskern von Vallon Pont d'Arc. Sehr gute Ausstattung - die Ausstattung von Küche, Bädern etc. umfasst alles, was es auch für einen längeren Ferienaufenthalt braucht. Selbst für Kinder ist vieles vorhanden (Hochstuhl, Wickeltisch, etc.), auch wenn das hochwertig ausgestattete Haus mit steiler Treppe natürlich Vorsicht und Aufmerksamkeit von Kindern und Eltern fordert. Es gibt Schlafmöglichkeiten für 8 Erwachsene, die Schlafzimmer haben jedoch keine Türen, sind aber dennoch gut voneinander abgetrennt. Herrlicher Ausblick von der größeren Terrasse, die Lage in einem verwinkelten Gässchen ist wunderschön. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und haben eine schöne Zeit hier verbracht, herzlichen Dank, un grand merci!

Wir hatten trotz wechselhaftem Wetter einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet- wir haben nichts vermisst. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war unkompliziert und herzlich. Auf die für Kinder recht steilen Treppen wurden wir vorher hingewiesen- da musste man mit den Kleinen natürlich aufpassen, ging aber gut. Über die Gegend muss man nicht viele Worte verlieren- wunderschön und vielfältige Unternehmungen möglich. Gerne wieder!
