Hotel-Gasthof Rose

Fantastic location in the heart of the village with everything virtually on the doorstep. Clean, comfortable and cosy room. Breakfast is always superb and the owners/staff are as helpful as it is possible to be.

Incredible hosts! A real Bavarian experience in my opinion and a breakfast that included fresh hot pastries from the bakery. I wish we could have stayed longer!

All elements of my stay were perfectly handled, I have no issues about any part of my stay, The hots were excellent and were very kind in not charging me for my last day as I had to depart earlier than planned at short notice. Without a doubt I will stay again if I am in the area. Thank you for the super hotel

Correcting review after getting wrong place (whoops). Bed comfy and with a nice, clean bathroom, and a plentiful supply of hot water in the shower. Was able to leave an item in the safe at reception. Location good, maybe a few minutes walk to the main part of Oberammergau. About a 30-minute walk to the base of Mount Laber for some nice walks Staff generally helpful. Seems to be very popular in the evenings for meals.

Despite the tourist tax being charged, I had to ask for the guestcard to be issued to save myself 6 euros on a bus. I fully understand the owner's issue with the cards becoming plastic waste (owner provided me with a prepaid envelope to return card after use), but I would prefer the card to be offered as standard - everywhere else I stayed did.
