'Villa Elissavet' - Kalami Bay - Family Pool House

The villa is lovely and in a great location with lovely views. Christina is an excellent host - extremely friendly and helpful. Villa is very well equipped, especially for cooking utensils etc, better than any other we have stayed in. Pool is lovely and table tennis & pool tables great for family entertainment.

If you are a fit and active family then the location and accommodation is perfect for a quiet beach holiday and within walking distance of at least 8 restaurants in Kalami and Agni. The closest beach (5 minutes down 8 minutes back) is probably one of the best in Corfu if not Greece. All of the roads and pathways are steep and unmaintained in places so bring stout shoes! I will never tire of the sunrise and the views of Albania from this stretch of coast. The villa itself is well equipped for cooking and eating evening meals if you choose not to eat out and the pool area is great with sun until 6 ish in the summer. Pool table and ping pong a real bonus. We will definitely be returning thanks to Skats and Christina’s excellent hospitality… well done for your first season of going it alone!

This is a well renovated property in a superb location. 7 min walk to nearest beach which is secluded and charming and slightly longer but still very manageable 15-20 walk to 2 other beaches both with a selection of excellent tavernas. Skats is a superb host - helpful before and during our stay, excellent communication and very responsive to any questions. The property is well-equipped if you want to cook for yourself including sharp knives and unblemished pans which is unusual in a holiday rental. The house and outside area are a good size for 6. Would thoroughly recommend to a family or group of friends.

To make the stay even better than it was, it would have been great to have had a little washing detergent supplied and some beach equipment (umbrella and a couple of folding chairs) to take down to Yialiskari. it would also be useful to be able to use the fly screens on the patio doors to help manage the heat without being attacked by mosquitos. However, that’s being really picky as the lack of these things didn’t impact our stay in any way.

The villa is in a wonderful location with spectacular views of the sea and the mountain from all levels - including the pool and dining area. We particuarly loved the spacious and tranquil infinity pool and poolside lounging space, which also had a generous shaded area - which 2 of our group particuarly appreciated. The rooms were spacious and modern. The bedrooms had very good amounts of storeage and the A/C in all bedrooms worked perfectly. The fridge/freezer worked well and we cooked many lovely meals at the villa, including using the bbq. We spent many hours playing pool and table tennis - which was a wonderful bonus and brought an element of competition to our stay! We loved walking down to the local bays during the day to swim and snorkel in the crystal clear, turquoise water and then revisit in the evening to the many excellent restaurants and tavernas for drinks, cocktails and wonderful local food and wines. The 2 supermarkets in nearby Kalami are very well stocked and there is also a fish shop - so all our needs were met within a 5 minute drive. The villa owner was very helpful and charming and responded very quickly to our requests, both throughout the booking process and during our stay.

We thought that some of the facilities would benefit from further attention to detail, however we felt that the many positives of the villa far outwayed the few things we felt could be improved by renewal or upgrading, such as some of the loungers and external furniture/cushions etc. My sister's bed was too firm for her, but there was a mattress topper at the villa so she was able to utilise that.
