First time in hostel so I had no expectations.For me is just little to much expensive for 6m2 room

The road to the hostel was cleared from snow so it was no problem to come with the car. It's little far away from main street but with ski it's very easy to come to near chairlift. The view from hostel is great, if you get room on proper side.

My room was #9 and its near main door, and because of that sometimes it was noisy. In the kitchen could be some more dishes for cooking, some old could be changed

Great experience

It’s a great place to be for a couple/few nights. In perfect location, just in the heart of Lechs.. it is clean and comfortable hostel.. it’s a must place to spend the night/nights when visiting lechs. I would definitely come back again sometime in the future. Although there were shared really clean bathrooms/toilets but there was never any queue.

A lovely place to stay in a stunning location. The room was very comfortable. This hostel is very well set up with lots of convenient toilets and showers, great heating and a convenient and very social kitchen. We had convenient and comfortable privacy but also met some wonderful people in the kitchen/eTing area.

Perfect stay to explore the Lech area

the perfect place to explore the whole Lechtal. We were welcomed by a very friendly staff who explained everything and showed us around. Although it is named as a hostel it didnt feel at all like a hostel to us. The rooms are large and provide a romantic view of the mountains and are very comfy, including your own sink. Each floor has plenty of toilets and showers that are exceptional clean and have soap and shower gel provided. The kitchen is situated in a half basement and has everything that you need to cook a small meal. We only stayed for one night, but could easily have stayed for many more! Free parking spots are available in front of the house.

Decent stay in a comfortable room.

Comfortable and functional room with a nice view from the window. Everything is kept clean and tidy which is fantastic. Functional kitchen with stovetop and (almost) everything you need to cook your own meals. Tidy clean fridge. Hiking guide books and other information pamphlets provided at reception as well as in the hostel. Room stayed cool in Summer despite no AC.

Would be good to have a ‘do not disturb’ option for the door for daily room cleaning if you don’t want/need your room cleaned. Kitchen had no chef/cooking knives so had to chop vegetables with a flimsy steak knife which was very frustrating. Freezer looks like a fridge and has no label - myself and others froze all our food. A sign would be good. Doors are very creaky and the key is very hard to turn (and noisy) and difficult to extract from the lock. Some maintenance would help here. Shower had an ongoing issue which staff were notified of so I assume this will be addressed. Staff were friendly in person but were very unhelpful and unaccommodating to assist with adjusting the booking to match a lower price, ignoring correspondence entirely about the issue. This put a bit of a sour note on the whole stay and made it feel like a profit-making enterprise.

Perfect self catering for the Lechweg

Perfect for a night or two if you're walking in the local area. Good location for amenities. Can recommend the Italian restaurant at the end of the road. Good amount of cookware in the kitchen, very tidy and clean. Two shared showers/toilets per floor was fine, never had to queue. Each room has own sink although no soap provided in the room only in the shower.

Would be nice to have a bottle of soap in the bedroom or hand sanitizer in the bathrooms.

I highly recommend it

I liked Everything! We had a shared shower and toilet, and they were very clean ALL the time. We were there in winter and the hot shower was unlimited, it was very very nice. We slept were well. At the entrance there was a machine to put your snow boats and dry them, very nice too. The shared kitchen was perfect, fully equipped, big fridge, and all very clean. The reception was very kind .

The own room with double bed and sink was spacious. The place was cleaned daily. Kitchen functional with dishwasher. Good Stay!

In terms of location within Lech It can be a bit of walk with ski luggage to get up to from main street/bus stop but its achievable.

I liked staying in this hostel very much. I would like to come again.

The staff in the hostel was very friendly and helpful. It's great that there is a hostel in Lech with little private rooms. The rooms I stayed in were small but clean and the bedding was very comfortable. The kitchen was clean and well equipped and the guests friendly. The location in Alps is amazing.

My first room was too small and too close to the entrance. After talking to the staff I got another room in the attic which was a lot more comfortable.

This was far and away the best hostel I have ever stayed in. The cosy single room was perfect for me on my solo travels and the kitchen and bathroom facilities were excellent and very clean. Really friendly staff who were very happy to help!

Exceptional

Lovely stay at the hostel run by super nice hosts. Good value for money considering how expensive other accomodations in the town are as well as the fact that you have your own private room. I really like the location as well. There are hiking trails just behind the hostel, not to mention the landscape is simply gorgeous. Overall a wonderful hiking base and I can imagine staying there for two weeks without running out of hiking options. Lech is better known for being a ski resort but it is definitely my top hiking base in Austria as the hiking trails are in general not crowded and the sceneries are simply amazing. I'd love to come back during winter as well to see a totally different Lech. I like the shared kitchen. One small thing though. The dish washer is both a blessing and a curse, I would think, as some guests simply put everything inside the dish washer, including items very limited in numbers such as cutting boards, pots and pans, meaning I sometimes had to retrieve them from the dish washer, wash them myself before being able to cook. More efforts might be needed to educate the guests! Also markers to indicate date of departure and name of guests for fridge items would have been nice too. But just minor issues at an otherwise well-managed hostel. Keep up the good work!
