Coral Tree Boutique Guesthouse

We stayed at the Coral Tree for 2 nights and it was remarkable. It’s well appointed, elegant and the hosts are extremely supportive. Breakfast is fully 10 stars and feels like a personal customised buffet of high quality delights. Access to Netflix is included which is something I’ve never experienced- usually having to sign-in. The coffee bar in the room is rather generous and was topped up daily. The bed was extremely comfortable and afforded excellent sleep quality. I’d definitely stay there again and recommend it highly.

Safer neighborhood. Safer area. Enough parking inside the premises. Not too far from everything. Hosts made the effort to replace the pan for the poached eggs that failed, even though we were not worried about it and settled for fried eggs instead.

Hosts did not check on staff to see whether our room was seen to properly. We completely understand the continuous issues with staff, but still the hosts responsibility to train new and old staff properly and check their quality of work. Had to ask for my towel and shower matt, also body wash, tea, coffee etc. was not replenished. The host was accommodating, we went to the laundry to collect the missing towel, floor matt and kitchen to replenish tea, coffee and sugar. The hostess at first just brushed it off as not having the tea hence the reason for not being replaced, only to easily find the tea I was looking for in the kitchen when her husband offered to see how he can assist. Asking for the loadshedding schedule was also an effort for the hostess. I travel almost weekly, for work and leisure and every guesthouse, hotel, Airbnb I have stayed, the hosts Whatsapp the loadshedding schedule without having to ask, or alternatively they have placed a note at the entrance of the facility or in the room. Even though the host was friendly and accommodating and apologizing for everything that could have been avoided, the first time in a long time it felt as though someone was doing me a favour. He even apologized for the neighbours dog that was continuously barking. We had no issue with the barking dog, even though annoying, but one can do little about that, but one can change the level of service, hence the reason for some of the issues made mention that could have been avoided. Second, but last time we will be staying here. First experience much more pleasant.
