Apartamento Centro Plaza El Médano (1-A)

It was so close to the beach, just across a road and a plaza. Plenty of places close by to eat and drink. A more relaxed energy than the bigger towns nearby. Bus was close, and there’s a taxi rank outside the door. There is a decent food store a few doors down. It was very clean, handover for the keys was convenient. Lovely little welcome treats on arrival. The washing machine has a very handy 15 minute wash.

There isn’t much soundproofing to the outside. The noise of the local stores started up quite early. Bring some earplugs if sleeping in the room with the double bed.

Het tweepersoonsbed is voor Nederlandse begrippen best smal en kort. Wij vonden het matras erg hard.

Excellent location in the centre of town, minutes from the beach and bus stop for trips anywhere on the island. Handy supermarket 4 doors down from the apartment. Taxi rank opposite. Very comfortable and spacious. Well appointed kitchen with everything available. Water, fizzy drinks and cava on arrival. Nice balcony, very good for people watching. Lovely bathroom with big shower, and a second additional bathroom. Washer available for longer stays. Nice town with lovely beaches although a limited number of sun beds available. Very nice restaurants and bars throughout the town. Beach towels provided.

As previously mentioned, the apartment is right on the town square and above the supermarket car park and taxi rank, so it can be noisy, (We were there for New Year's Eve and nothing finished until about 6am!) Just be warned if you are light sleeper.

The apartment was everything my daughter and I had hoped for. The location is in the heart of El Medano and everything is close at hand. The balcony is perfect for watching life on the square and the beach. Be advised that the main square is the site of occasional fiestas that go on until the early hours. It's fun to join the party, or just take ear plugs. That would not put us off booking again.
