We have visited El Médano four times now and this is our best trip so far, thanks to Anna's apartment which is less than a minute's walk from the beach. We didn't eat out once, but cooked and ate fresh fish from the Hiperdino supermarket fish counter each evening, plus local cheeses for lunch, supplemented by drinks, mainly at Manfred's cafe. Anna was a great host and was able to let us arrive early and depart late around her work commitments. We will definitely try to stay here again.
We are both very tall and are used to a super king-size bed so we struggled a little at first with the regular double bed, but that probably won't bother many people.

Great location. Lovely host. The apartment clean, close to local amenities, well equipped kitchen and bathroom. A bit drafty, but it’s all down to the high winds in El Médano.
