Centralt och havsnära på Stensö

Location: it was an easy 15-minute walk to the Kalmar central station, Kalmar city center, or the Kalmar castle. There is a very nice bakery 2-minute away and a grocery store 1-minute away. It's very easy to prepare your own favorite breakfast with these stores around the corner. A little further, a with 5-minute walk, there's a very big ICA grocery where you can buy essentially anything you need. Facility: very well equipped apartment with everything you need. I particularly liked the fully openable windows at the opposite sides of the apartment that make excellent air circulation (although there's also a cooling fan). I also liked the ceiling window in the bathroom which quickly disperses moisture and smell (I often find bathroom ventilation fan not working properly even in high end hotels). The nice washing machine and large cloth rack are very useful in the summer days if you stay multiple days and have many outdoor activities. Outside the apartment, the terrace and swimming pool are very enjoyable. Owners: the owner couple were extremely nice. They would help with all kinds of questions. I read a review saying that going from the central station to the facility with rolling suite cases was challenging. Because ride-sharing is not available in Kalmar and I don't speak Swedish to call a taxi, I messaged the owner asking about the public transportation without noticing that it was midnight Sweden time. Yet I got a response within 5 minutes, with clear instruction on an easy direct bus ride, although it later turned out that walking from the station to the facility was actually a breeze (the road is nicely paved with blacktop or concrete). At the end, the owner actually picked us up and dropped us off the station. I understand that this service should not be expected but it demonstrates how the owner cares about guest's concern.

Vi hade 2 min att gå till ett bageri som öppnade kl 7.00. Vi gjorde egen frukost. Fanns möjlighet att sitta ute. Vi kunde också använda badpool som finns i trädgården. Nära till Kalmarsundsbadet. Möjlighet att parkera precis vid huset.

Tolle, große Wohnung mit allem, was man braucht. Sehr gute Lage mit kurzem Weg zum Schloß und auch nicht weit zur schönen Innenstadt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Gastgeber waren super nett.

Det va ett bra läge, fint hus, rymligt.

Det stod att de va allergivänliga, men ägaren hade hund. Det stod rökfritt, men luktade rök i hela lägenheten. Stod inte heller någonstans att ägaren bodde på nedervåningen.
