De kamer was super, genoeg ruimte, mooie badkamer en fijne bedden. Van alle gemakken voorzien (koffieapparaat etc). Was allemaal vrij nieuw. De locatie was prima en lekker rustig, iets aan de buitenkant van Avola. Het is maar waar je van houdt. Om de hoek lag een grote supermarkt. In Avola zelf is ook genoeg qua restaurantjes en strandjes. Niet allemaal op loopafstand binnen 15 minuten te bereiken, maar ook dit is persoonlijk. Vanuit Avola kun je in zowel noordelijke als zuidelijke richting mooie plaatsen bezoeken.
Het ontbijt viel in eerste instantie erg tegen. Op de site van Booking.com staat ontbijtbuffet. Dit klopt niet, want het ontbijt is op je kamer. Onze voorkeur gaat normaal uit naar een gezamenlijke ontbijtruimte met een buffet. Wellicht de website laten aanpassen. De koelkast is wel heel goed gevuld, maar niet als je van een stevig ontbijt bent. Twee croissantjes was voor ons veel te weinig. Hadden zelf wat beleg (ham en kaas) en broodjes gehaald in de supermarkt. Dit was Mara ook opgevallen, dus de dag erna heeft ze ons voorzien van extra broodjes en beleg. Dit had ze dus goed geregeld, complimenten. Het contact met haar was verder minimaal, hoogstwaarschijnlijk door de taalbarrière (sprak bijna geen Engels). Veel contact is voor ons ook niet noodzakelijk, dus niet helemaal een tegenvaller.
