Not all property owners participated. Our family of 8 had a great 2 night stay for Mother's Day Weekend at Janie's at Crystal Beach/Port Bolivar Texas. EVERYTHING about the location of Jamie's was just perfect. Cabin was clean and well kept inside and out. You can';t get a better view of the beach, than at Janie's on the top floor deck. We rented JANIE';S last year , and we would rent Janie's again.

Love the house and location. House seemed a little under stocked with the items needed to prepare meals. Pots, pans, and utensils were a little scarce?

We chose this property because of its beachside location and pets were allowed. Although our pets didn't travel with us this year, the house and its location were fantastic. The only problem is their central ac wasn't functioning properly. Luckily the winds from the ocean and open doors and windows made the temperature bearable but then we had to deal with the noise of other homes & beach goers radios, smells of smoke from fires on the beach or other vacationers grilling and such. And couldn't very well leave the doors and windows open when we left the house. The rental company, Cobb, when I called and did send out an electrician and ac repairman within an hour and on Good Friday, the problem was not resolved to where the ac would cool the house. And when I called Cobb again on their after hours phone number, the lady who answered was quite rude, explaining that they sent someone out, what else did I want. Well, I want, when I pay that much for a rental, to be able to sleep at night in an air conditioned home.
Cobbs other customer service is great. Great reusable grocery bag at check in with goodies. DVD rental card (like a redbox) for free DVD rentals when you stay with Cobb. But the AC not functning properly was a HUGE deal for me. The house is as it is described, plenty of beds and space. Great beach location. Pet friendly.
