Lovely welcoming hotel

Location close to town. The fireplace in the lobby. the reception staff were very friendly. The size of the room was good. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Good selection, good products and fresh.

Being in the attic on the 2nd floor was a bit awkward, especially getting int the bed at the window side. Didn't expect that, especially since we were under the impression that we had booked a room that was advertised as 'disability access'. Bathroom area was also quite small. If you're a USA traveler and expect and need a room up to ADA standards, you'd be disappointed. For us it was OK though. The restaurant for dinner was disappointing. It's a Burger restaurant. Functional after a 10 hour road trip, but hardly the cultural experience you'd expect being in a world famous wine village like Gevrey Chambertin. Also, the waiter definitely was underpouring the wine by the glass and needs training. The first glass was skimpy, the second one so unacceptable we had to point it out to him as I thought he'd just poured me a tasting glass. (I've been in the hotel/restaurant business for 40 years, so have some experience here). He begrudgingly poured some more, but it never got to the level that he poured the other glass next to it. I just gave up.
