Oporto Chic&Cozy - São Bento da Vitória

The location was fantastic. Great apartment with a small balcony that let in the afternoon sun.

The bed is a fold out couch and was quite hard.

Everything looked like the photos. The location was good, close walking distance to everything!

The unit was not very clean. There were dead bugs all over the bedroom walls, stains on the couch cushions. The kitchen faucet knob was not in good repair, same with the shower head. There were no cooking oils.

The flat is in a fairly good location, less than 10 minutes walk from Torre dos Clerigos. The owner, Nuno provided us with good information regarding checking in and there is some information in the flat regarding bars, restaurants and services in Porto.

Unfortunately, this flat is all about style over substance: 1. Cleanliness: as we arrived, my son was thirsty and took out a glass from the cupboard and there was a thick black hair on the rim. The sofa cover had seen better days. It had yellowish patches on it. 2. Facilities: as my son turned on the tap, it literally came off. The bathroom was the worst bit: the sliding door jammed in open at first use so we could not close it. The tiling work inside the shower was very badly done in some areas. The worst was the light, yellow and not very bright. 3. Noisy: you could hear every step the upstairs neighbours made. There is a bar next door to the building so there were people drinking and talking until late, even though we stayed there during the week. Finally, the building opposite is being renovated so the street is like a building site and at 8am on the Wednesday morning, work started and machinery was dragged up the street. 4. The overall flat and furniture has seen better days. You can see that some work has been done in the flat but very badly for some of it. This includes the tiling, the bathroom sliding door, the electrical panel in the living room.
