The accommodation is not a hotel, there is no staff, from the outside it almost looks like the Grand Budapest Hotel movie, and from the inside it looks more like the Shining movie. Abandoned, old, retro atmosphere. I personally liked this kind of atmosphere, but I'm sure there are fewer people like me.
Parking was not easy, although it was free, nearly impossible to find any parking lot. The description said that they asked for a 200 eur deposit in case of possible damage on site, we exchanged the money, but then no one asked for it, so it was completely unnecessary. Apart from these, we felt comfortable, but we didn't spend much time at the accommodation.

good location, great view from the balconym, large comfy bed, good bathroom, good functional kitchen with all the necessary stuff to do basic cooking, freindly host
kitchen was very small and a bit crampt, instructions for where to go after key collection need to be clearer

The location is perfect, just in the center close to everything. The view we had from the balcony is breathtaking. Big apartment with all the room you need to enjoy the vacation.
I want to recommend changing the pillows and the cushion. The pillows are uncomfortable as well as the bed a bit.

The external building is an iconic building which lures you in.
The internal building is a ghost town. No facilities. No cleaning or room servicing. The 2 bed apartment was nothing like the photos and really needs work. Kitchenette was poor and in one of the bedrooms, no fresh towels, no rubbish service and had to collect key in the snow at another hotel. Location doesn’t work for shops or skiing as it’s at the bottom of the hill. Would not recommend as there are much better options with customer service.

Received a good welcome and information. The management was very friendly, helpful, and kind. The apartment services were excellent, as expected, and enjoyed the stay.

what a majestic history of the building, and the rooms are a museum on itself
kitchen was very limited. In space, in amenities and no dishwasher

large apartments with huge balcony
stayed extra nights and would have been cheaper to go through booking.com $1483 vs $1530 ish. Paid $900 in cash to avoid the additional fees from booking.com and tax. Disappointing!
If I cancelled and rebooked on booking.com it would have been $1283.

Location and appartment spirit is special. It was an old hotel which was converted into appartment wihout changing it much.
Appartment owener was super arogant and not nice person.
We called to be late due to late flight , but event thougt he charged as un top late check in (Be aware !!) But was not in the booking agreement. When I asked about it , he just mumbled , that I can cancel it if i dont like it .( Cancelation fee 100%) .

Spacious and nice view.
The apartment is very old and it really takes you back in time, but sadly it is extremely dirty. the smell is horrible and there were hundreds of big flies when we first got there, I have never seen anything like it.
the fridge and the kitchen are awful, there were flies in the fridge even.
the bathroom was the biggest issue, I am sorry to say but it was absolutely disgusting, to the point I was feeling sick when I tried to clean things before using them, I honestly can’t even describe how dirty it was. At the end we had to leave a day earlier because we couldn’t cope anymore. the dust was everywhere even on the walls.
It’s really sad because it could be a nice place if it was looked after, but I have never felt so dirty in my life.
by far the dirtiest and smelliest place I have ever been to.
I really think they should bleach the whole apartment and especially the bathroom.
The whole furniture needs replacing or deep cleaning, it stinks.
Check the loo before you use it, I’ll say no more.

It was one of a kind type of stay. Belladonna Panorama Apartment is located in the former Grand Hotel de L'Europe. In the prominent times it used to be a one of the best hotels in Europe hosting famous people from around the world. Currently you can while staying in that place you can feel that the old time soul and experience a bit of the unfortunately already aged luxury, but feeling like you are there almost completely alone. Kind of bizarre, but also very special. It is definitely not gonna be appreciated by people who need hotel service and modern facilities. But this place really has a very special charm. It felt a bit like traveling in time. I adored having a morning coffee on the balcony with amazing views over Bad Gastein, taking long bath, discovering almost abandoned parts of the hotel and also attended completely by a coincidence a beautiful jazz concert at the bottom floor as there were free jazz events taking place every Wednesday during summer in front of the hotel (or inside with rainy weather). On the ground floor you will find Gasteiner museum where you can discover more about the hotel itself and the beautiful Bad Gastein area. If you are a bit nostalgic and want to experience something different during traveling, this is the right place for you.
I appreciate that they tried to modernise rooms by adding fridge, cooking plate and filter coffee machine, but I think it takes away much of the charm of the place. There weren’t any coffee filters for the machine so I needed to arrange it myself first morning, but I think it is not necessary as there is a very nice cafe place downstairs where you can get breakfast and take away coffee. There were couple of moments when I was a little bit wondering when was the last time this building went through some technical inspection and just in case didn’t use the elevator, but I think it is mainly my personal anxiety coming from the feeling of staying alone in the abandoned-like hundred year old building.
It was also a nit annoying that I needed to walk to some other hotel to pick up the keys. I think it would be so much nicer if they could deliver them to you to the hotel, especially if you travel by train.

Outstanding location, inside an old-fashioned historic hotel (now partially transformed in a Residence, with bigger and smaller apartments ...) with a brilliant view of the Graukogel. A really quiet place and perfect for restore, this effect being surely amplified as we were there in the first half of June (low season ...). The opportunity for self cooking (with a decent set of dishes) in the little kitchen was HIGHLY appreciated :))) Wi-Fi present and full working.
Making an effort - from the General Management of the place - in order to change the mattresses and bed nets in the rooms would be great, as they are a bit dated.

The expectation, based on reviews of previous visitors, was quite high, yet in reality it turned out to be a poor experience due to the desolated state of the town itself and the hotel as well. What was once known as a pearl of the Austrian Alps is a shadow of its former self. The potential of the hotel is incredible, a truly stunning, historic facility, yet the lack of care cannot compensate for the subpar quality. This critique is meant to be encouraging, because Bad Gastein’s nature is too beautiful to not be seen and experienced, yet the town and its facilities have to invest much more in the the infrastructure and the maintenance of it.

I wanted to stay at this property badly. The apartment is inside the once Grand l’europe hotel. A building I fell in love with the moment I saw the first time years ago. So it was a little dream come true to stay at this property and I felt very very comfortable. The apartment has its own charm it is very inspiring and you feel like traveling into the past. Don’t expect any luxury but a lot of individuality. I will definitely come back.

Ståtligt men slitet.
