The location is beautiful, the staff are all really friendly and helpful! The modern interior was really lovely.

The property sits on a country road and there is not much space for parking.

Our stay at Golden Mirror in the Douro Valley was genuinely one of the most magical experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were completely blown away by the views, they are even more beautiful in real life and made every single moment feel peaceful and surreal. The hotel itself is absolutely immaculate and quite intimate. Everywhere is spotless, beautifully designed, and smells incredible. There’s such a calm, luxurious atmosphere throughout the whole place and you can tell how much love and care goes into maintaining it. The rooms were beautiful, with so many lovely little details that made the stay feel extra special. They were exceptionally clean, incredibly comfortable and so peaceful and quiet, it’s the perfect place to completely relax and switch off. The amenities were also fantastic, especially the pool area which was stunning with the surrounding views. Breakfast each morning was lovely and something we genuinely looked forward to every day. What truly made this place unforgettable though was staff, they are so warm, kind, welcoming and accommodating. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble and they made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. This is honestly the nicest place I have ever stayed and it was incredible value for money considering the quality of the experience. I’m genuinely sad to be leaving. It’s very rare somewhere exceeds expectations in every possible way, but Golden Mirror did just that. We’ve left with the most amazing memories and already wish we could come back. Thank you for creating such a special place!
