Fine for a one night stop

It was a small but comfortable property just outside Chantilly with good parking on site

There was a lack of bed linen for the pull out beds and a lack of towels

Great location and we were there for the horse racing and so staying at the stables was fantastic.

My only suggestion would be to develop an outside seating area somewhere in the central courtyard.

Wonderful location, close to Chantilly and other attractions. Very quiet but also close to shops and cafés. Very clean, good supply of hot water, excellent heating. Instructions for arrival and entry to property were very helpful.

There were a few areas which caused concern. There was no smoke alarm, and in view of the fact that the front door to the property was the only escape route (except for window in ceiling of bedroom) this made the property feel unsafe. There was no ‘bathroom’, just a shower and toilet in the bedroom area. This was fine with us, but it didn’t quite meet the description of a bathroom. However, the toilet was only reached by means of four very steep steps which made access difficult in the night or for anyone with mobility problems. There was also limited legroom in the toilet when the door was closed. We had to move the bed across a couple of feet so that my husband was less likely to bump his head on the sloping ceiling. However, he did still bump into the ceiling a few times, so for anyone tall this might be a problem. The main staircase upstairs to the bedroom was also steep with treads shorter than a woman’s average foot, and without a handrail this did not feel very safe. I enjoyed watching tv in the evenings but found it rather uncomfortable as the sofa was at right angles to the tv. Kitchen was well-equipped except for the fact that there were no cooking utensils to use with the frying pan and saucepans. I realise that the property we stayed in was the smallest unit and very good value but feel that for the elderly or tall guests it would not be comfortable or safe. This is the first time I have ever had to make a negative review but I think it is important to be honest.

Great stay! Outstanding hosts! The hosts were easy to contact and were very responsive. Thierry and his wife were at the property regularly. Theirry was very willing to discuss local and not so local attractions to visit. A book of attractions was provided in the cottages which was extremely helpful in selecting places to visit. The cottage we stayed in was comfortable and fit our family of 5 very well. When we weren't on the go, we really enjoyed the outside area...the badminton, lawn games, ping pong table, and the ponies. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was very clean. We had a long stay and Thierry had our cottage cleaned weekly, excellent bonus. Along with outdoor seating, there were outdoor electric grills available, just ask. Easy walk to the Carrefour grocery store. You'll want a vehicle to get around the area outside Lamorlaye (you can rent one from the local ADA or Carrefour). There are plenty of attractions within an hour drive. If you have a long stay, get the annual pass to the Chateau de Chantilly so you can make return trips during your stay. Paris is an easy 20-minute direct train ride from either of the local train stations (10 minutes/11 Euro Uber ride away).

There is no air conditioning so on warm days/nights the windows have to be open and with the ponies hanging around outside the cottages, the flies can be a nuisance inside the apartment. A simple fix might be to put screens on the windows.

Great Stay

Comfortable , spacious and clean. Wide range of utensils, crockery and appliances. Perhaps the addition of a toaster for UK visitors but there is a cooker with grill. Would recommend.

Good location, good accommodation, would stay again

The space inside was utilised well. The children loved the 2nd bedroom with a mezzanine level for the younger ones, so all three could sleep in one room. The ponies were a nice touch.

There was no house instructions on how to use the facilities e.g. washing machine, t.v. or connection to WiFi. There was no tea, or sugar but there was a few coffee pods. It would have been more inviting to have a full tea, coffee, sugar honey etc station rather than what looked like an afterthought. The accomodation would benefit from other streaming services e.g. Netflix or Sky for children who don't speak French to be entertained. There could have been board games e.g. Scrabble, cards for indoor activities during poor weather.

Warm owners and great location

Great location. Close to city, carrefour and eateries. . Very clean appartment with a good view. Friendly and warm owners. The hosts welcomed us on arrival and assisted in our departure. Thank you for the room upgrade Thierry and Triin. It was a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. An animal friendly place with a lovely cat , poneys and hens. The kitchen was very spacious and convenient to use. Facilities provided were good. Variety of games are available. Ample space for Kids to play around.

Petit week-end sportif dans des superbes cottages en pleine nature et avec des chevaux!!!!!

Les hôtes sont trés gentils, Thierry est venu nous saluer et nous avons pu discuter. Le cadre est agréable: un petit havre de paix auprés des chevaux. Les cottages sont bien équipés , nous avons passé un bon séjour avec nos enfants. La région est agréable, beaucoup de commerces et restaurants et activités à proximité..... Je recommande+++++++++

A découvrir.

Dans un ancien centre équestre ces logements offrent un calme incomparable. La proximité de la forêt de Chantilly permet de longue balade à pied ou à cheval. Le centre ville de Lamorlaye est à 10 minutes à pied pour y trouver les commerces de proximité. Ce lieu cherche son devenir, je souhaite beaucoup de courage et de persévérance aux propriétaires pour redonner vie à cet endroit paisible au potentiel immense.

Les logements sont corrects mais beaucoup de travaux sur les abords sont encore à réaliser..... Il faut fermer les yeux et imaginer le passé ou le futur de ce lieu.

Fijne rustige ruime locatie, vooral als je van paarden houdt!

Het huisje heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en genoeg ruimte voor 6 personen. De ligging is heel centraal. Het is er lekker rustig.

Er waren wat kakkerlakken in het huis gekropen. Daar ben ik geen fan van. In het huisje vond ik de geur van de paardenstal wat aanwezig.
