Lovely apartment with beautiful view of ocean.

Only issue is it is up quite steep hill then steps so not suitable if you have any health/mobility issues (unless you have car).

The apartment is great. It's spacious, bright, each room has a million dollar ocean view and it felt very cozy, more like home and never like a hotel. Comfy beds. For 4 people its a jackpot and it doesn't get better than this in Salema. The terrace was also a thing of its own. The apartment is the last one in the building, so you get the privacy, it has a view of the town and the ocean that is equally spectacular both daytime and nighttime. Also you get a bit of mood light and fresh herbs in there. Its a great place to chill after sunset (it can get pretty chilly on the beach due to the ocean breeze). The kitchen was well equipped and it was a pleasure to be in - given that in the town of Salema you can't really get a seat in the restaurant without prior reservation, it did come in very handy. Theres a market in a building downstairs that can cover all your needs, including a very wide selection of wines and fresh bread and pastries in the morning. For large shopping you can drive to larger markets nearby, but they can get very crowded in the afternoon so expect queues. The barbecue was also awesome, especially that you can get freshly caught fish & veg in the morning as well. Theres no air conditioning, but inside the apartment it wasn't that necessary. On the terrace the heat was very intense in the midday though! Sunbathe there and you'll be crispy in no time. The beach is couple minutes away on foot with two ways of access, either downhill but over longer distance or closer, but with stairs. For activities, you can get a lot to keep you busy including dolphin watching, kayaking, snorkeling, etc. Definitely try the surfing lessons in Sagres. The town itself is very touristy but it keeps its original vibe, unlike larger cities nearby. No problems with parking near the apartment, though you'll probably want to be doing all your exploration on foot. Our host (Silvie) was super communicative, helpful and speaks great English.

The pool was actually next to another building, a 2-3 min walk tops but by the pictures we thought its gonna be more like a part of the apartment. Regardless, it was still very nice, deep enough to jump in on one end and shallow enough for staning in the other end. There's also a very shallow one for toddlers. Even though we were there in the high season, it wasn't crowded at any time.
