The Merchants House Corfu, Old Perithia

Stunningly restored building in the most beautiful place. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and included everything we could possibly need. The owners were so welcoming and served us the most delicious breakfast outdoors on the terrace. Definitely our favourite place we stayed in Corfu.

The hosts David and Marieke were fantastic, it felt more like we were staying in their home rather than their hotel. The breakfasts were really special, fantastic setting outside on a stone terrace and a delicious choice of locally sourced or home-made foods. Our suite was very comfortable with a lounge, separate bedroom and bathroom. David and Marieke were always willing to make recommendations for beaches and activities as well as sharing their knowledge of the history of the village. We were also very grateful to be able to borrow beach towels and a beach umbrella for our days on the beach.

Amazing unique property in a special hamlet close to the highest mountain in Corfu. The hosts David and Merike were delightful, engaging, informative and professional. Breakfast was both delicious and served with style. A truly friendly and relaxed place to stay with lovely local tavernas to eat at for lunch or dinner. This is a charming place with scenic views, peaceful and tranquil far enough away from the beaches to experience the authentic Corfu scene.
