A 4x4 is definitely recommended, but trust me, every kilometre of dirt road is worth it! This little gem is the ideal getaway if you want to escape busy everyday life and completely unwind. No TV, no cellphone reception, and no noise. Just pure peace and tranquillity. Sitting on the deck and listening to nature around, the sound of the stream nearby, PERFECT! The scenery is breathtaking, and the cabin is absolutely charming. You can see the thought, care, and love Juliet has invested in every detail. All the essentials are there, making it a comfortable and memorable stay. Juliet was an outstanding host. She greeted us on arrival, gave us a tour of the property, and checked in throughout the weekend to ensure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back!

Dirt road but still worth the drive...

The silence was overwhelming, you could hear everything! From the water stream to the bright stars. Nature at its best

Juliet met us at the property and introduced us to the property, facilities, and activities. The lodge was spotless with attention to even the smallest detail. And she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. There was champagne for our anniversary, complimentary tea, filter coffee and rusks, and beautifully arranged towels and chocolate on the beds. We couldn't have asked for more. The cold wallow-tub was perfect for a hot day and the hammocks under the trees made for the best afternoon snooze, lulled by the Piet-my-vrou's and other abundant birdlife. The only sounds you hear are the birds, the wind through the trees, and the river cascading over the rocks. You can take forest walks along the river, swim in the rock pools, hike the area, picnic or braai at your private riverside picnic spot and so much more! For a peaceful and romantic getaway, I highly recommend Red Cliff.

Nothing at all. It was absolutely perfect!

The surroundings/nature was absolutely incredible. The decor was fabulous. The outside braai area is extremely relaxing, so are the two hammocks under the tree. They do supply Peaceful sleep, use it... You are in nature... Simply the best.

The roads are very bad. You do need a high vehicle. Won't be able to do it with a low vehicle. The fact that you cant charge your cell phones.
