Fantastic rental property in the centre of Donegal Town, a short walk to all shops, bars and cafes!

I would highly recommend this property, it's clean, comfortable and in the heart of Donegal town close to all amenities. Communication from owner was excellent, all amenities in the house were as described and of a good quality. Fabulous to find a pet friendly property in such a fantastic location!!

Apart from the weather we had a great time in Donegal.

I wanted to stay in Donegal Town and that’s why I booked this property on January 1st as the previous reviews were excellent.

If I was being picky we would have liked a tumble dryer to dry our clothes as the weather was not great. This obviously is no fault of the owner.

Great location. Off street parking was brilliant. Good information provided and plenty of useful items in the property. Thank you for biscuits and crisps.

But it’s a very tired property. The bed linen and towels are old and worn (towel had a hole!) The bathroom was really badly cleaned. Black mould to the tiles, shower screen and taps. Broken bath panel. I refused to use the shower as I was not prepared to shower with the mould there. The bed linen is so old (although the front bedroom was better.) The mattress did not fit the bed and overhung making sleeping uncomfortable. The oven had been cleaned but not deep cleaned. The dishwasher was full of dirty plates from previous guest and so we didn’t use it. Such a shame. I’m sure the host is delightful and the property was probably equally lovely in the past but it’s just crying out for some money to be spent on it.

The location was excellent! The townhouse was well equipped and roomy. Joy has put together a wonderful informational package available for guests regarding the what to see, where to eat, and things to do in Donegal.

The townhouse was comfortable and conveniently located.

The location made it easy to walk to places we wanted to see in the town, like restaurants, pubs and convenience stores..

There was no hot water out of the taps, which made washing dishes a challenge. Had to use the electric kettle for this. The manual provided indicated a switch for this, but this only seemed to turn on the shower unit. Also, there is a strong mildew smell in the kitchen, which is very off-putting. Otherwise was pretty clean.

An absolute diamond of a place, oodles of room and charm and space. Did I mention the location is perfect with included and discreet parking. Minutes from the many and varied opportunities on the doorstep and a great base. We will be back as we have been spoilt and the host is brilliant with communication.

Perfect home stay in Donegal

The house, although a bit older, was clean and tidy with everything you could need. We loved the cakes and milk , thanks. We received a video of how to get into the property which was really helpful. The location was fantastic with just a minutes walk to be in the centre of town. We loved our stay here.

My only slight gripe woulld be that one of the beds had a double base with a queen matress on it which meant it slipped a bit in the night.

The location in Donegal town is excellent. Perfect for exploring the western coast. From here we went to Sliabh Liag for a brisk walk, Killibegs for Ireland's best Fish and Chips, Mountcharles for pier swimming, a hike up Mount Errigal, cycling in Glenveagh National Park, surfing in Rossnowlagh, the cinema in Bundoran and of course, Tirchonaill castle. The house is perfect for families as you can relax in the evening and play board games with no pressure to eat out all the time. The kids had fun playing the complimentary xbox when we were relaxing in the house too. The utility room out the back is great for storing all the swimming clothes and wetsuits (out of sight). The host is super helpful and is always at the other end of the phone if you need her.

The property was very accessible with private parking. Only a stone throw away from the town centre. Very spacious and spotless inside the house. Very nice touches such as milk, butter, jams and treats provided by the host. Would highly recommend to any family or group of friends and we will definitely be returning in the near future.

Very central. Dog friendly. Very reasonable price. Host kindly left us welcome treats which was lovely. Free parking.

This is fairly basic accommodation but the price in my opinion reflects this. We appreciated the little touches I.e. shampoo/conditioner etc in the bathroom, clean towels in all the rooms.

The house is perfectly situated for the town and site seeing...joy is a perfect hostess...great communication and loved the little touch of bubbly and chocolates left for our arrival the bed was very comfortable and blankets and water bottles left if cold..all equipment supplied which you would need.the town is a few mins walk to a variety of pubs restaurants shops and staff in them are lovely and friendly....perfect place for a wee weekend away...Will be back...

Exceptional

The house was in the heart of Donegal Town so it was a great base to explore the surrounding area. The rooms were clean and homely facilities like the sky TV, xbox and selection of books were great for the kids in the evenings. The annex at the back of the house was great for drying wetsuits and swimming shorts. Would highly recommend.
