Saltwater Apartment

Everything, weather brilliant. Location of the apartment good, peaceful even though it was on the main road and no vehicles parked cluttering it up and no inconsiderate driving. The apartment was in a block of four you could hardly hear the neighbours. Liked how the footpaths were away from the main road and pedestrians protected by the well manicured hedging. The apartment was good, the grandchildren loved the bed and bedroom whilst myself and hubby slept on the bed settee which was better than other ones we have slept on. Nic rectified the problem with the bed settee straight away and thank you. Site was well thought out, plenty of refuse areas, no dog poop and I noticed vehicles not parked in the designated areas were made aware. Nice one hour walk into filey and cheap bus ride back to site. Nice walk to the cafe on the beach to your right.

Don't expect too much from the site shop, did not have any milk at lunchtime and there was no delivery expected, so from then on, shopped in Tesco using the 2 hour free parking and Heron 2 hour free parking. The open plan gardens may not be suitable for some dog owners.

Lovely accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable holiday.

Location was ok, a lovely beach to walk into Filey. I guess being at the start of the season you could expect some facilities to be closed but that didn't really bother us. On site pub a little expensive for what it was.

The apartment was quite rough around the edges. WiFi did not work on arrival, but was sorted. Insufficient glasses and a bit of a cutlery mish mash. Decor tired, it's in need of painting and a cosmetic face-lift. Under the sofa bed was appalling. Food and rubbish left uncleaned. Perhaps not the owners day to day responsibility, but if you rely on your cleaners to do a thorough job, they aren't. Bin lid was broken on arrival. Not one we would revisit.
