Gîte Le Cot en Vallée d'Ossau

The house is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. It's in a beautiful location close to interesting places and plenty of great walking routes. I especially appreciated being able to bring our dog without a list of unreasonable restrictions that other "pet-friendly" hosts often impose. The garden is delightful with wonderful views down the valley and an amazing collection of interesting plants and trees. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. They made themselves accessible without intruding on our stay in any way.

There was only one thing I thought could be different that would have improved our experience in any meaningful way... Insect screens on at least some of the windows. The weather was still warm when we visited and opening windows to get a through-draft unfortunately meant a house full of flies and shield bugs. It was only a small inconvenience and having such huge windows was in itself part of what made the accommodation a pleasure to stay in.
