Villa Maxima with heated pool - Makarska Veliko Brdo

The house is spacious, it’s somewhat well equipped and it has a really nice pool and really comfy beds.

For me this property would have been top-notch, but due to not meeting certain basic criteria which is important to me it kind of fell off. First things first, at checkin we were welcomed by a young lady who couldn’t speak English, not barely, like nearly at all. She could bring to my attention though that there is a deposit to be paid. Which indeed was among the automated emails received, but I wasn’t aware of. She and the owner accepted though for me to bring the money to the owner’s bar. Second the parking lot although I specifically asked about it, could barely fit two cars, each day it was a nuisance parking in and out. Second, the kitchen lacked proper cleaning, the fridge, the dining table, the floor weren’t cleaned, like there breadcrumbs on the table and the floor. When you pay 4k this is kinda outrageous. On top of having a fridge that wasn’t cleaned properly, we ended up the next day with some guys turning up at the front door leaving another fridge right beside out entrance. No one communicated anything about this, there was just a fridge left there..When I enquired about this from the ownerI was told that fridge is the one belonging to the house, and it’s better. I did check on that fridge before calling and it was filthy. A staff was indeed sent the next day to clean it but I had no stomach to get food from that fridge anymore. I did tell the owner we don’t need it, but no one came to pick it up and it stood there until the end of our stay there, blocking the access to the outdoor sink and stove. The AC in one of the rooms didn’t function properly, it had a fan but no temperature decrease, but the deposit and the attitude of the owner kind of put me off to say anything about this. The fact that the owner never replied to my messages on Booking was also very awkward for me, he only replied with delay on whatsapp with voice messages. I mean this is not how you run a business where you rent houses with plus 4k honestly.

Flott, moderne og romslig hus. Soverommene hadde gode senger og god skapplass. Flott utsikt, praktisk uteområde og gode solforhold. Rolig nabolag. Man er avhengig av bil, men alt er en kort kjøretur unna.

It was modern. Everything was working.

Perfect villa for holidays. Stunning view to the sea and mountains, the house is clean and well equipped. Kids loved swimming pool. There are couple dedicated parking places. Highly recommended :)
