About this house rental
Welcome to the Plover Retreat, a cozy cabin in Grand Marais. Our cute two bedroom plus sleeping porch cabin, is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. Enjoy quality bedding and towels as you 'rough it' in our cute cabin. Though only a few minutes from town, our cabin and its surrounding yard feel secluded and private. Enjoy the first cup of coffee in the morning on our deck and watch the humming birds zip around looking for food. Lazy, quiet days lend themselves to reading a book or putting together a puzzle on the enclosed porch while still getting to enjoy the scene outside.
Just a short walk from our property is the beach access for one of Lake Superiors prettiest spots: five to ten minutes on foot turn right on H-58 towards town, turn right on Ellen Street to a public beach. Sugary sand and shallow water for swimming meet up with the mouth of the Sucker River; the perfect spot to spend an afternoon.
As the day wears on and night fall begins, be sure to enjoy a small camp fire under the stars. Roast some marsh mellows, sing songs or tell a few tales of times gone by. Reconnect with family and friends and enjoy a slower paced life on vacation with us.
Seasonal property available May 1 thru November 1 only.

Very happy with the home. Convenient to what we wanted to do, well stocked and very clean and cozy! Will consider another stay for sure!

The property is in a secluded location close to town. The beds were comfy and the cabin is cozy. The inside of the cabin was clean (minus the sand in the shower) but the porch is in desperate need of a sweep. The cushions on the chairs were dusty and not at all inviting to sit on. There is wireless available but no password. Looking up maps and details about locations is not available because cell service in the area is spotty. The bears visiting the trash cans was entertaining but seeing bear scat intertwined with plastic is troublesome.
The pictures in the VRBO listing showed Adirondack chairs around the fire pit but were not there. There is plastic chairs available but they were also dirty.
