Apartment Vonni - Zell am See

We hadden geen warm water maar dat werd netjes opgelost door de eigenaar na het melden was er binnen een uur een monteur

De slaapkamer bij het raam waar ik sliep werd ik continu wakker van water dat door een rioolbuis werd gestort.

The apartment is in a good location close to the lake and the centre of Zell am See. We liked the contactless entry and the apartment itself, whilst small and a little dated, was clean and had what we needed for 2 nights. Free parking was a bonus.

The biggest disappointment however is that I booked the apartment because the details said it had lake views. The apartment was on the ground floor and there are no lake views, in fact the only window in the property looks out over a parking space. I am sure the apartments above have a lake view but ours didn't. The apartment said there is also a terrace. There is, but its a communal terrace which is right outside another apartment door around the back of the building. We thought we could put the kids to bed and enjoy a sneaky drink on our private terrace but didn't feel comfortable leaving our apartment, going outside of the house and sitting on what felt like the apartment of another guests terrace around the back of the building. The property said there is a washing machine. There is, together with a dryer but these are communal and you have to pay extra to use them, which I hadn't noticed in the property fine print. With 2 kids and touring around Austria I had expected them in the apartment as part of the cost. The beds were a little hard too. Our son rarely complains but he mentioned, without prompting that he found the bed uncomfortable. There appears to be a building plot right next door. There wasn't much going on but it is unsightly and I assume at some point building will start which could cause noise to future guests. For us we only stayed 2 nights so the above wasn't a huge problem, just a disappointment, however, for anyone who might be considering a longer holiday these might be dealbreakers. Its a relatively cheap apartment for the town and I guess we got what we paid for.

Easy parking, walking distance to shops and town, good equipped kitchen and smart TV. Comfortable short stay for 4 people. Responsive host.

Extremely slow WiFi, dusty floor which needs a good vacuum and mopping. It's not an issue for us, but the listing says that the apartment has a lake view, which it does not.
