Electric went off leaving us without charged phones to get home to Liverpool

Nice room, comfy beds. Tea,coffee and biscuits provided
On arrival at 5.40pm I was informed at check in that the bar downstairs would have music playing until 2am. The lady stated that she had emailed me. I didn't recall receiving this information. Upon checking my emails when getting to the room, an email was sent to inform almost at the same time we were checking in. It was now 6pm on a Saturday night, we had no time to look for accommodation elsewhere as we had a taxi coming to collect us in 30mintues. When leaving the hotel juke box music was playing, which was not an issue, and we assumed it would be the same later on. How wrong were we. When we returned to the hotel at 11.45 the music was so loud there was no way we were going to sleep.it was karaoke until 2am. Once the music stopped we all slept very well. Rooms lovely, comfy and warm, wouldn't stay again or recommend due to the noise. Creaky floor boards and doors every foot step was heard. It was impossible to sleep. Shame because the location is perfect. Earlier communication in advance of arrival would have given time to find another hotel. For this reason we won't return. I would like to add I am in my early 40s and am not a party pooper.

Location and spacious room.
Even though we were on the top floor we could hear the karaoke blasting until 2am. I also .messaged staff to ask to turn. The radiators on as it was cold in the room but I did t get a response.

Could not find any thing to fault.

Free parking at the rear of the property (spaces are limited)
On the high street
Great pub atmosphere.
Could have done with it being a little warmer in the room. It appears the temperature is on a timer system, and as the outside temperature had dropped, the room was pretty cool too.

Enjoyed my stay. Staff were very friendly. Room perfectly clean and free parking behind the hotel was very handy. Although I didn't make use of the shops as was working on customer site, the location is perfect for shopping etc.
Can't say I can fault anything.

The property is a lovely local pub, and we are frequent guests in the Ivy. We love it, and we love the staff. A special mention to the lady with glasses behind the bar, she has gotten to know me well and always shows me to our room, offering a lovely welcome. The bathroom is massive in room 4, and the bed comfortable. We are staying here again in about a month, and would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Sleaford, to explore the wider Lincolnshire area and this lovely town!!
There is not anything that i seriously dislike about it - its really lovely

Room was clean and warm.
Staff were very pleasant.
Perhaps unfair to judge it as they were having a lot of work done- the whole pub was covered in scaffold and there was no breakfast or evening meal.
One main reason I booked it was it was advertised as having Free WiFi- and I had a lot of work to do that evening on my computer. Unfortunately the WiFi signal didnt reach my room (3)- so I was unable to access the internet and complete my essential tasks.
The pub itself consists mostly of a dancefloor and the background was loud Rock Music- not the kind of Pub I would choose to visit ( I prefer Pubs with seating and no background noise).
Maybe when the renovations are complete it may change.

The room itself was nice except the tv remote didn’t work properly
The location was poor. Very noisy traffic noise and revving motorbikes roaring past during the night. It wasn’t a nice pub. It was described as doing an excellent breakfast which was why I chose it. However they did not serve breakfast

The staff were welcoming and helpful
It was difficult to find because the scaffolding outside hid its name. No internet in the bedroom

Great location, free parking, comfortable room and very clean.
First floor room - a bit noisy until bar shuts.

Location was very good, short walk to other public houses and restaurants. Staff very welcoming and a good band in the evening.
There was a little bit of a drama at the end of the evening with a small fight in the bar.
3.0 / 10.0
Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Bedsheets and towels were spotlessly clean and well presented.
First impressions were not good. Small, traditional Pub that has a very grubby feel to it, no need to see the menu, just have a look at the floor, it’s all there.
There was a couple giving each other a verbal beating just outside, I’ve no idea if they had any connection with the premises, apart from making the place feel even more uncomfortable.
Room window had the sun on it for most of the day, there was a ceiling fan that had a generous coating of sticky yellow dust and fluff. Not wishing to inhale, I opted for opening the window instead. Lo and behold, the happy couple were still at it outside.
Extraction fan in the bathroom sounded like the Third Panzer Division on manoeuvres. As this was non negotiable (fan and light on the same switch), I used the facilities sparingly.
No fridge.

Comfortable rooms. Good shower. Clean all through and beds made daily, excellent service. Plenty of hot drinks and biscuits to hand, unlike some purple chain hotels.
The rooms are alongside a lively pub. If that bothers you don't go. But the beer is reasonably priced if you enjoy the atmosphere. I did. Sleaford isn't a great place and you can't get a meal anywhere in the town after 20:00 on weekdays.

Perfect location, plenty of parking too.
Really suprised how quiet it was.
Thought above a pub would be noisy, absolutely not
The room, quite a contract to the exterior.
Modern spacious, massive bathroom and really nice ceiling fan lights

The property felt run down and not well maintained. Our room smelt of smoke. The carpet was dirty and stained. The beds were uncomfortable - cheap mattresses and thin pillows. No sound proofing so the music coming from the private hire room below kept us up until the early hours. The check in process wasn’t great - we had to ask the barmaid who was busy serving pints to customers. Felt a little awkward. She was friendly though - one of the only plus points. Other than that, the only positive I can say is that the bathroom felt clean. Save your money and stay in the nearby Travelodge which was £20 cheaper.

My initial thoughts when walking in were ok its for one night. When I was shown to the room (great bonus and often does not happen) my view changed it was lovely homely very clean in the public areas. The room was excellent had everything I needed and more including a working shower that I could understand and a comfortable bed.
Oh and my requests were met
Whilst appreciating that the kitchen was out due to building this is the third time this year where this has happened to me. It would be great if this could be popped up on the listing to make an informed decision.

Very clean room, comfortable and quiet despite the pub having music on throughout the evening. Full size bath was a bonus! Despite being in the centre of town, the Ivy has dedicated parking to rear of pub, free of charge
Snags with wi-fi connection, staff unable to rectify but did not affect my stay.
Room would benefit from a chair and small table to enable guests to work on PC etc

Very clean room with excellent ceiling fans. Staff very pleasant and welcoming on arrival. Right in the middle of town so convenient for all amenities. Though music on till late we were two floors above so didn't really hear. We also didn't come back from the wedding till late. The large room we will book again as a double and single bed so three people can sleep comfortably
No one there on check out. I did want to report the shower holder was broken. Was on arrival but holding on. Totally came off in second morning

The rooms were clean spacious and fresh and bed comfy and bathroom had a bath and shower and roomy.
The room had all you needed and it was light and airy.
Unfortunately we had to go through a pub with smokers outside and drinkers inside and that was bit weird cos it is supposed to be a hotel. In truth it should have been sold as a pub on the Hugh street with good quality bedrooms upstairs of the pub. The staff were welcoming and efficient.
Didn’t like the welcome to having to walk through a busy pub with snooker table and drinkers and locals talking. Would have been better to have a separate aeea to come in n go upstairs quietly and away from all the onlookers. Also the high street was pretty average and nothing special.
Sleaford village was ok. Had to go the next day to Lincoln to get the Lincolnshire tourist feel. It was amazing.
Overall just wished the location of the pub hotel was in a more pleasant surrounding.
