Apartaments Voralmar

We loved everything honestly; - The apartments were clean and modern, with a large fridge, cooking equipment, kettle, microwave, coffee machine, lovely shower, washing machine, comfortable bed, balcony, and modern flat screen tv. The AC was great too, as the weather was hot! - Rosa was so kind and helpful. She made us feel so welcome when we arrived and she gave us recommendations for where to visit in the village, alongside some history. She was always a text or phone call away if we needed anything. - the location was our ideal spot, a beautiful village with gorgeous restaurants, shops, friendly locals, on the train line and right beside the beach!! It wasn't too busy which we loved. We especially recommend the restaurant Estrac, open on weekends. We'll be back!! 😍

Good location for what where we needed to be. Very nice view of the sea and mountains. The property was clean, and spacious for a one bedroom apartment. Not far to walk to the town and station which was ideal

The floor could have been a bit cleanier

Rosa who handed me the keys is a very nice woman and she allowed me early check in; she is very hospitable and provided alot of information about the area. The apartment is a recent renovation and very clean with appliances except dishwasher. The hosts provided wine and a buscuits which were very appreciated. There were lovely seaviews from the terrace and it was a quiet street. It is walkable to the train station, town center and beach. The apt parking out front is not always available and a bit difficult however they resolve this problem by providing a parking permit to allow free parking which is fine as long as you are not walking up that steep hill to the property with heavy things. There is no elevator, just stairs so consider if you have alot of luggage. Again, Rosa helped me with my luggage, she tried her best to make my stay comfortable.

There was no dishwasher which I was surprised by but I suppose I did not read properly that it was not equipped with such. The bathroom vent is not effective and often smelt like a sewer. There is absolutely no sound insulation between the floors so everything could be heard from upstairs. Even though the noises are just normal noises of people living in an apartment, the fact there is no insulation, not even a carpet or rug to absorb noise, I was every day woken up too early and every night slept too late as my sleep was guided by their schedule. As a light sleeper this led me to being so tired during the day I had to take naps to make up for my poor sleep. Also, the bed was uncomfortable, it was too low and hurt my back. I was too busy to change the booking and move to another place. I think that if noise does not bother you then it will not matter. So it was unfortunate as I did not enjoy staying or relaxing in the apartment as I had wanted. When it is quiet, it is really quiet and I enjoyed those moments at least. I am sensitive to noise but not greatly sensitive which is an exaggeration. I never met the owners, was not greeted by them and never dealt directly with them as Rosa takes care of the stay of the guest so it is odd they presume what I wanted. Anyway, it seems something is only wrong with me personally and my 'needs' of sleeping etc... so it should not effect any other guest.
