About this apartment rental
The building was built in 1891, and has served as retail first floor and the top two floors as YMCA, and for many years the local Elks Club. Now it has five modern up to date apartments. All close to the downtown action of beautiful Alpena. Amazing Downtown Apartment, walking distant to everything Alpena has to offer. Within a four block circle you will be able to eat, drink and shop. All within a safe and comfortable walk. Within three miles from the hospital and schools. This is a second floor apartment, must be able to walk a flight of steps.

This location was perfect for walking to shops and eateries (we recommend the Black Sheep). The place was bigger than we expected and very comfortable. The shower with 2 heads was a fun bonus. We went for fall hiking, biking, and relaxation and this place was perfect for our stay. Communication with the host was spectacular. This is possibly the best VRBO we have stayed in.

This rental is in an old building that has been renovated to accommodate some rentals. We loved the high ceilings and windows that let in a lot of light and made the rental seem very big. It is very spacious. We made use of the well equipped kitchen and there are plenty of all kinds dishes to use if you want. We had gorgeous weather when we were there and so we walked everywhere in town. It is a very clean and pretty area. If you are a light sleeper the rental is close to the road so the traffic noise might affect you. It is a light traffic area, so it’s not too bad. Wonderful stores and restaurants all in very close proximity to the rental. We felt very safe walking around town. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Location was excellent for walking in the downtown area and marina. Apartment was furnished with everything we needed. Will stay again next time I'm in Alpena!
