ABOUT THE RENTAL
Perched back up in the bluffs of Harbor Springs, this charming cottage offers all the amenities to go enjoy downtown while also having a place to come back to for peace and quiet. Take a step through the front door onto a sweet sitting porch full of morning sun to enjoy a book or a cup of coffee. Pass through the porch into the second door and you will find an updated interior with maple flooring, 10-foot ceilings, and “craftsman” details. Off from the living area you will find the first bedroom with a queen bed connected to a jack and jill bathroom complete with a tall walk-in tiled shower. Walk through to the second bedroom with another queen bed. The kitchen, located off from the opposite of the living area with Bosch appliances, Corian countertops, and plenty of daylight has a clean and fresh feel and includes a good size island with seating. If you are looking to have a sit-down meal, the dining room offers six seats as well. A set of stairs to the lower level will find you in another area offering a queen bed, half bathroom, as well as the laundry. If you are looking for porch seating, there is more than the front porch. Head towards the backyard through the back porch located off from the living room – full of windows and a clear view to the fully private, fenced in backyard. The sweet back patio of “paradise” is wonderful for relaxing and entertaining with its lush grounds and comfy furniture.

We stayed for five days and found this to be a perfect location to explore the greater area. Harbor Springs is a cute town, and the house was within 10 min walking distance or 2 min drive in a quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean and the AC was quiet and efficient. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils for cooking. The backyard is beautifully maintained and is a nice venue for relaxing, as desired. Overall, a home run. We hope to stay again.

My family was so excited to get away and this location did not disappoint. On charm alone it is perfect! The place and location is beautiful. You are in walking distance to Harbor Springs (and we walked there everyday) but, the walk is down a hill and back up the hill. If walking is not your thing, it’s a quick drive down the hill and there is plenty of parking. The cottage is beautiful, with high end furnishings and accents. The original sun room was perfect for that first morning cup of coffee or reading a book (which I partook of every morning 😉!). There is no cable TV, but if you have Netflix, Disney Channel, etc. it’s perfect. I would highly recommend this place and we hope to stay here again in the near future.
