We liked how secluded it was, only 1 property overlooked us. The hot tub is located on the back patio of the property and was a lovely space to relax. The house its self is stunning with a few minor faults written in the guest book, which we did have a good chuckle about as they’re absolutely absurd to us to complain about. Our experience has been nothing but positive. I especially enjoyed the staircase how there were construction images of how the property has been renovated and restored with a light up book shelf. Another thing that the group and I enjoyed was listening to the steam train pass.

It’s a lovely little cottage, 6 adults and 2 small dogs fit very comfortably in there. It was lovely sitting outside with the view and relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. The balcony gets lovely sunshine during the afternoon so we sat there most evenings.

There was an issue with flies and the outside bin was already full when we arrived and so was overflowing when we added our own rubbish to it, which added to the amount of flies especially in the kitchen. There was also a couple of bits of rubbish left and a dead bird in a plant pot located outside the kitchen door.

the network connection fail a few times..

The property has so much charm, you can see a lot of work has gone into the initial renovation. Key code was straight forward, parking was good. Clean bathrooms.

Well where do I start , this property has so much charm but is extremely let down by the execution of interiors and function. Arriving for my father’s 60th, our stay was adequate to say the least. First of all the cleanliness wasn’t tip top, sofas looked like they’d been sat on, one sofa had a huge rip in the cushion, dirty under floor surfaces, crumbs on sofa bed and dining chairs. Place matts were filthy, under the sink has a big stain, chipped plates to serve food on, dirty cutlery in the draw, wires hanging everywhere under tv. All such a shame. As our stay continued, with 6 people occupying this property it was a disaster when we tried to sleep, one of the beds was completely broken all the springs were gone, we are not ones to usually make a fuss but this was ridiculous and ruined the stay. Luckily one of had a camper van and slept in there. Next the hot water for the shower was an issue, and the heating wouldn’t work so our wet clothes couldn’t dry. Fire place was a little strange too, the fact it’s not a real one and requires ethanol but there are logs under is a bit misleading and could cause an accident? No door mat either, not ideal in rainy Wales. Sad because this place has so much potential. I definitely would not stay again.
