About this farm stay rental
An unforgettable blend of history and whimsy nestled among an unexpected ridge view just minutes from downtown. This 1895 German rock and log homestead has been restored and updated with a surprise around every corner. Each space pulls you in and at the same time stops you in your tracks. Woodwork design features complement one of a kind design pieces. And if that weren't enough, the nature views grab your attention and draw you outside where you want to kick back and relax as you watch the day unfold. Some unique surprises are a custom arcade, string art wall, scrabble board wall, shuffleboard, hanging television, rain head shower, and so much more. It's an attraction all its own in this special jewel of a town.

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC) Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will not be visible.
*WET WEATHER Reservoir: Water conditions are not consistent or predictable due to the fact that water depth is subject to the weather. No water activities, with the exception of fishing (when water levels permit) are allowed due to the possible dangers of the primitive nature of the reservoir.

My daughter and I loved The Rockwood for our mother daughter Fredericksburg getaway. This charming cottage was everything we wanted and more! The details of the home are perfect...we loved the architecture of this updated home, the location was ideal, and we enjoyed the amenities offered. We look forward to visiting again!

We ( 4 sisters) absolutely loved our accommodations!! Set back and quiet, a bit of nature( cutest baby deer playing on grounds) close to town with plenty to do- comfortable beds- every amenity well thought out. It's been awhile since I travelled so it was a bit of sticker shock for just two nights- but I would recommend your place to others- thank you for a relaxing environment which is what we all needed . Also appreciated that you responded quickly to my phone call and fixed our entry issue - I've had a few bad experiences with that- lol -Lisa

The house itself was beautiful. The attention to detail was impeccable and we loved the overall craftsmanship of the home. When we arrived the hot tub wasn't ready to use. It was freezing so we couldn't enjoy it until the next day. The location was convenient for Main Street activities but the views from the house were less than desirable. Overall a nice place to stay.
