The location of this guesthouse is absolutely perfect for exploring Coimbra - the minute you step out you are in the hustle and bustle of the beautiful old town. The guesthouse itself has been beautifully converted - keeping the atmosphere of the old pharmacy very much alive with thoughtful design throughout the building, but it didn't feel gimicky or cluttered. The room and bathroom was modern, very clean, and the a/c worked very well (it was extremely hot outside). The greeting from the member of staff was welcoming, and check in was easy. Prior to arriving the guesthouse had sent details of how to enter the building and room (love that it is a number code and not having to faff with door keys/cards). All in all I would highly recommend staying here.

It isn't a criticism, just a fact, that without parking it does mean you have to bring your luggage from a nearby carpark. We were travelling fairly light so it wasn't a problem, but if you have a lot of luggage then it may be a little inconvenient, albeit not for us on this occasion.

Location, very clean, and the elevator!!!

Building itself was stunning all round.

The bed was so small as was the room. The bathroom was disgusting, half a shower door and water everywhere. Thick mold in and around the shower. They used some perfume to cover the smell and the smell was way to strong and bothered me allot
