Our motto: “Pferien”—vacations with or without horses
It all began with an idea.
After a long search, we found what we were looking for. A lot of courage, hard work, and energy set the wheels in motion. Now we can say we’ve created a small oasis of well-being and tranquility. For people and animals alike. Here, nestled between the seas and our Baltic Sea fjord, the Schlei, life is good and it’s a wonderful place to vacation. We’re delighted to be able to offer others this chance to unwind.
This farm was built in 1884.
The barn at the back of the farm was originally used as a pigsty. The upper floor housed a spacious chicken coop. In addition to these animals, the farm kept workhorses and geese.
The farm includes approximately 3 hectares of land. Today, the meadows are used for hay harvesting and as horse pastures. Hay is harvested in June.
We purchased this farm in the summer of 2017. After a long planning phase, the renovation of the residence began and was completed in 2019. In 2020, we began converting the pigsty into a horse stable. Today, it houses five stalls and paddocks. At the same time, we converted the upper floor into our beautiful vacation apartments.
A long period of construction work has now come to an end, and we’re so glad that everything is finally finished. We’re now looking forward to sharing this with others.
A vacation right above the horse stable?
Access to our vacation apartments is via a spacious staircase. There is no elevator or stairlift.
Please also note that the apartments are located directly above the horse stable. For those with a sensitive sense of smell, this may be perceived as an odor nuisance.
In the summer, the horses are out in the paddock., When the horses are in the stable (continuously from mid-October to mid-May), there may be noise from the horses (even at night). Due to the proximity to the animals, our accommodations are generally not suitable for people with horse dander allergies.
Suitable for children or families?
Absolutely. It’s a wonderful place to relax with the family. There are several green spaces around the stable.
Vacation with your own horse?
A vacation with a horse is generally possible upon arrangement.
Our farm’s own riding arena (20 × 40 m) is almost complete and is in a completely secluded location. We do not offer regular or active riding lessons. However, if you’re interested, we can recommend and arrange riding lessons in the immediate vicinity as needed.

- 1 dog: 5.59 EUR per night
- 2 dogs: 5.59 EUR per night
