A cherry in the Eifel.

After spending days out in the splendid countryside and visiting Phantasialand, we were very pleased to return to the house at Sophienhohe. During our stay, we had sole use of the 29C pool and indoor barbecue area. The host and his dog introduced themselves and were in hand should anything have been required.

When arriving in Germany on a Sunday, be aware that unlike UK, all grocery stores are shut so basic provisions are near impossible to obtain.

Nice modern fully equipped apartment with swimming pool

Swimming pool, modern apartment, sunny terrace, barbecue available, fully equipped kitchen, helpful host, relatively close to Eifel national park

We were the first guests so there were some start up problems with getting the key and the WiFi, but these were very quickly resolved by the host.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft zum entspannen

Eine sehr schöne, gut ausgestattete Unterkunft mit direktem Zugang zum Pool. Der Pool ist überdacht und kalt, was aber eine super Abkühlung nach der Sauna ist. Wenn man gut organisiert ist und die 2€ Münzen für die Sauna mitbringt, ist diese auch wirklich groß und geräumig. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und es gibt direkt an der Unterkunft schöne Wege zum spazieren gehen. Außerdem gibt es ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten und nahegelegene Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

Prima huis voor 3 a 4 personen

Service was prima,gemaild of onze dochter en schoonzoon ook een paar nachten konden blijven en dat was geen probleem (tegen betaling). De leefruimte met zijn 3en was prima (maar met 5 was het wel erg krap). Prima zwembad .

De vloer in de keuken/woonkamer was op meerdere plekken stuk, ook de vlonders van het terras was op een paar plekken stuk. Het zwembad deel je met de andere gasten en dat is prima alleen troffen wij het dat het een helft van ons vakantie een gezin was die de hele middag en avond er verbleef. Dan is het huis heel gehorig, al het geluid trekt naar boven. Kwa prijs hadden we er meer van verwacht.

Een goed verzorgd huis op een mooie locatie met enkele minpunten.

Het is een mooi opgezet huis en ondanks wat gebruikssporen ziet het er in totaal netjes en verzorgd uit. Het zwembad is schoon en de ruimte eromheen is netjes ingericht. De locatie is prachtig en biedt veel mogelijkheden voor wandelen en een bezoek aan bijvoorbeeld Keulen of Bad-Münstereifel.

De site van booking.com doet vermoeden dat er twee slaapkamers zijn met elk een aparte, eigen badkamer. Dat is niet zo. Er is een gedeelde badkamer / WC bij de slaapkamers op de eerste verdieping en er is een kleine badkamer met WC en krappe douche op de begane grond. Er is nog wel een tweede douche bij het zwembad maar dat is in een algemene ruimte onder het huis die gedeeld wordt met een tweede huis. Er zouden handdoeken zijn maar dat is beperkt tot een grote en een kleine handdoek per persoon voor de hele week. Er waren geen handdoeken op de WC of in de keuken en ook niets voor bij het zwembad. Zelf meenemen dus. Hoewel we er geen gebruik van hebben gemaakt, is de "gym" beperkt tot een combi-apparaat en een bankje met een drukstang. De code van de sleutelkluis kwam niet overeen met de code die wij via onze bevestiging hadden gekregen. Hiervoor heb ik de verhuurder zelf moeten bellen. De vloer van de kamer en het balkon vertonen duidelijke schade door wateroverlast; losse delen en veel hobbels. Verbinding maken met de gratis WiFi was vrijwel onmogelijk.

Zur Alleinigen Nutzung, tolle Unterkunft, Pool zu Mitbenutzung

Die Unterkunft wurde nun schon 3 mal für meine Mitarbeiter (Monteure) gebucht. Haus. Zimmer, Badezimmer immer schön sauber und gepflegt. Die Matrazen der Betten sind hart und eher ungeeignet für Menschen mit Rückenproblemen. Evtl. sollte man diese erneuern. Es gibt keine Handtücher - selbst mitbringen! Der Pool wird auch von anderen Gästen mitgenutzt, die ebenfalls im Nebenhaus anmieten. Pool ist sehr gepflegt und sauber, der gemauerte Grill ist sehr Rustikal und Oldschool, was ein besonderes Grillvergnügen bereitet. Die Küche könnte etwas mehr Ausstattung vertragen, jedoch nicht weiter schlimm. Der Vermieter wohnt nicht dort. Kommunikation mit Vermieter erfolgte reibungslos und schnell, unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Alles in allem waren meine Jungs zufrieden und möchten stets dort unterkommen wenn wir in dieser Region unterwegs sind.

Trotz kleiner Mängel hatten wir eine sehr schöne Zeit!

Sehr netter Gastgeber und schöne Einrichtung. Direktzugang zum Wellnessbereich.

Sauna kostete 4 Euro pro Stunde und der Automat nahm nur -2- Euro-Münzen an. Der Pool war sehr kalt (18 Grad). Zudem funktionierte die Heizung am Anfang nicht. Das wurde aber innerhalb von 24 Stunden nach Meldung repariert.
