Shades Of Como with Private Terrace

While this condo is modern and going for the minimalist look, it really is not very practical for travellers. I felt I needed to do a review for this rental as currently there is not one. Pictures are great but what it does not show is there is no privacy in this place. The main lighting comes from the inside windows which face an indoor courtyard but also faces directly into someone else’s condo. Some may not mind this but if you prefer some privacy you will find yourself closing the shutters. Once those are closed there really is not much lighting overall in the whole condo. It could really use more especially in the bathroom it is so dark in there. I’ve rented several condos from VRBO and really have not been too disappointed. I just felt this rental runs very busy like and they are extremely strict with the 3pm check in time. I totally get it. I’ve worked in hotels for a long time so I get it but I also know sometimes rooms are ready sooner. We had came from Bellagio and had the most amazing service with our other VRBO which was way more accommodating then this rental. We were told we could leave our bags at one of a few places that you can reserve for a cost only to find out after this rentals office was a few doors down and based on information they provided when we could have left our bags with them. They hadn’t even mentioned this to me when I asked and inquired about the early check in which they also told me they would let me know if it was ready early. They never had contacted me like they said they would and it was ready early. It started the stay off bad. It’s really the little things that matter and will stick with someone. I mean this rental provides dish soap to make sure you do you dishes before leaving but they don’t even provide at least a small pack of laundry soap for doing your wash. The coffee machine is not that great if you are a coffee lover like we are. There is not much room for suitcases if you have large ones with you. They will have to go out in the main room. I’m noting the little things for those that care about the functionality of the rental. Overall this place looks nice but that’s were it ends. While communication was alright it’s missing the personal touches of creating a better experience for the customer. Location was great but if there is a live singer/band outside in the square you will hear it.
