La casa del piano - Beautiful 18th century house with courtyard & pool

We had a very comfortable stay in this beautiful and characterful property . Excellent base for exploring the national parks ; we enjoyed river walks and hiking in Los Alcornocales (the cork oak groves ) - as well as relaxing on the terraces and in the bars/ restaurants of the town square (2 mins walk) .

We’ve visited Casa del Piano before as the house is fantastic, beautifully furnished, light and airy. There are many places to relax inside and out, including two living spaces, the roof terrace, balcony and beautiful courtyard garden, with great new outside furniture for reclining in the sunshine. We slept well and comfortably on the new mattresses. Jimena is a beautiful hilltop village / town, with many places to visit and eat, with several food shops, and a couple of art galleries. Everything is very close by, a few minutes walk. The views from the roof terrace of the house, the castle and the town are fantastic, stretching as far as Morocco.

Everything was exceptional, nothing not to like. There are lots of nearby places within a short drive, including Ronda, Gaucin, Jerez and Cadiz. There are also plenty of beautiful walks straight from the house down to the river side and beyond. We have also seen people swimming in the river, we read it is one of the cleanest in Spain! Perhaps next time we’ll give it a go.
