It's a wonderful place, so peaceful, great for kids and taking rest. The hotel itself is exactly like the pictures, including the rooms (or apartments, we were in an apartment). Our initial apartment view was the one of the mountains, but since the hotel was mostly empty, they upgraded us to the view of the lake and the monastery (as can be seen in the pictures).
They didn't have heating the first two days as the day we came was the first day they were open, but they gave us a heater that was more than enough for the bedroom which we used most of the time, and they started heating afterwards.
The cleaning ladies were so kind and respectful, and the apartment was pristine. They cleaned every day, we received new towels daily, and they always asked if and when they could come in if we were still inside. The toiletries were also added daily.
The restaurant is nice, but the waiters and bartenders are the best thing in the hotel: they took care of our son every day, played with him, he loved them so much and they adored him in return; I had dietary requirements the first two days, and they always went far and beyond to accommodate me (I was fasting, but in an Orthodox Christian manner). All in all, we already miss them and can't wait to come back again!

The location is absolutely beautiful and truly unmatched in Ohrid. Waking up in a lake-view room was quiet, peaceful, and simply unforgettable. The setting around the monastery and the lake makes this hotel one of the most unique places to stay in the area.
Unfortunately, cleanliness is borderline non-existent. The moment you enter, you can count the spider webs, and we even came across a few spiders. While I understand the old furniture fits the overall atmosphere, the lack of proper cleaning makes me question the standards of the facilities overall.
Breakfast-wise: Given the number of tourists who visit, there’s a lot of room for improvement here, both in the variety (especially by adding more local dishes) and in the way it is presented. The food presentation does not match the hotel vibe.
