Oriel Cottage

A quirky cottage, really lovely it, had everything you needed. It is close to the shops which is literally 2 mins walk and chemist and cornish pastie shop and pubs and places to have a coffee close at hand.

Stairs in cottage a bit steep :-), plus couldn't figure out where garage was, which we didn't need as a friend picked us up from the station. Would have loved to have seem the garden but padlocked and wasn't sure what the pin was as should have been same as the door.

Perfect location right in the middle of the village. Really pretty cottage with modern facilities

The cottage is an authentic Cornish stone cottage with shops and pubs all in a short walking distance. Even on the hottest of days, the stone walls keep it cool. Decor in the cottage is stylish and functional.

The parking space requires navigating a lane little wider than a footpath, with overhanging shrubbery so if you're worried about scratching your car, you might not manage to access from the cottage. (It is actually possible to access the lane from the top, avoiding the narrowest parts). In the cottage a few more cups/mugs would have been welcome. Also the sash windows look pretty but don't all open, so the bathroom can get a bit steamy. An outside hose for wetsuit cleaning would also be helpful. Overall it's a great place to stop.

Cottage was very clean and cosy, all mod cons and everything provided for your comfort. Double room is limited space wise but beds very comfortable. Nice position in village close to all amenities.

Only complaint is the extremely narrow lane leading to parking space after arriving in the dark found it to be quite a challenge, but the local car park served us well at a charge of £5 daily and a short walk through a lane at the rear.
