Hostal Familiar Argeñal

Nice hostel! Our room was a good size, double and twin bed. Window. Great A/C! Night table between the beds. Hooks to hang towels! The kitchen is fully stocked! Cooking supplies. Coffee maker. Even has blender! Two bathrooms. One bathroom has shower, which was excellent. Hot water was very hot. Hand soap for hands in both bathrooms. Host was very nice and helpful during our stay. He sends a guide about the hostel beforehand that includes some restaurant options. We enjoyed the local cafeteria very much!

Host needed to come from the next house over so we waited a few minutes to be let in to check in. Ceiling fan didn’t work. No shelf space. One shower for 6 rooms (wasn’t an issue because only 3-4 rooms booked out).

The supper market nearby is the best i have found in Panama. The room had a good air-conditioned or it would have been very hard to sleep. Large kitchen but no garbage can in the kitchen.

No HOT WATER. For me a must. The sign for the place is inside the property gate. Hard to find..

staff was wonderful and the place was comfortable. shopping and fast food options within 5-10 minute walk.

in the middle of the night I realized my pillows had no pillowcase on them…eewww (gross). the walls are very thin, you hear all private conversations. The guests in room 4 were horribly loud (talking and laughing) at 4am and then later they let their alarm sound for 5 minutes before shutting it off. By the. we had been awake since 4, so we packed and left (as did the other guest). very little sleep. the place is clean but needs some TLC.
