Ermoupolis hidden gems

Fair communication with the host. Great location. Amenities were just fine. Hot water, air conditioning, cleaning during the 3rd-4th day.

Unfortunately we had quite a delay on our travel because of the weather conditions that postponed the ship departure but also elongated the trip. The host was continuously asking for an arrival time even though I explained multiple times the situation in the ship was difficult & scary due to very bad weather and having two kids to care for. That made me uncomfortable and increased my anxiety which was unnecessary. The amenities could also include a set for self cleaning the room. The sofa bed is not too comfortable. The table and the chairs were not well done, they need some fixing or screwing. Could use some screens in the door and window for insects. The room was quite dark and humid, so we had to have open door & windows while we were in the room, but tons of flies were getting in.

We got a free upgrade to the terrace apartment. We loved the kitchen with all things needed to cook simple meals, aircon provided, TV, lovely bathroom with nicely presented towels and extra soap. The terrace was so beautiful and really added to the experience. Property manager Antonio was so nice and extremely helpful for any thing we needed. The people involved in our stay were so nice. Great communication. Lee way with check in and check out times !

While the beach is very close, there are a lot of stairs/ up hill to get to the apartment so be aware of that. Suited us fine. Was initially tricky to find the apartment among the little alleyways. Small room attached to apartment is shared with one of the property managers

Hosts were very kind and responsive, ready to act upon our requests. Relatively close to the city center.

The pull-out couch that supposedly beds two people is not meant to be used as a bed. The apartment realistically hosts two people, so listing and charging as if it were for four is just not ok. My friends are quite small and they barely fit on the couch, alongside having very uncomfortable sleep and back pain afterwards. I’m 177cm tall and I myself would not be able to sleep on it. If my friends were taller people, it would have been impossible to sleep, let alone rest there. You should rent the property for two adults, perhaps two + one child, but certainly not as if it was for four adults. Keep in mind limited transfer methods if you carry a lot of luggage, as the public transport is scarce and there are a lot of stairs to reach the property.
