Werner made us very welcome at the hotel and was full of ideas for our walk to Mont St Michel. The hotel is ideally situated for a walk along the river with a stunning view of Le Mont St Michel visible the whole time. We had a delicious meal with friendly attentive staff. Lobster was divine. Bed was dreamily conformable. We'll go back. Alan & Liisa McDougall

We had a family suite and it was clean and comfortable. Rooms are generously sized and our dog was also provided with a bed and a bowl of water. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the breakfast.

from the moment you walk through the front door you are transported into elegance! The owner personally greets you, checks you in, and takes you to your room. He even gave us his cell phone number in case we needed anything during our stay. The breakfast and the dinner were out of this world good! Our server for breakfast was the nicest man! Our stay was quiet, relaxing, and mature. We would go back again and again to stay here!!!
We loved every single thing!

It is one of the best options if you visit Mt St Michel, hotel options are very bad around this area (Mercure, Relais St Michel...), there is not a good hotel anywhere. I would recommend to visit Mt St Michel and continue with your trip and sleep in any other town (Rennes for example).
As mentioned if you decide to sleep near the Mount, this is the best option but the price is not worth It.
Rooms are big and clean and the front desk guy is a hardworker trying to make your stay the best.
Is not a 5 star hotel at all. Small hotel with staff, services, decoration and ambience of a 3 star hotel, may be 4.
Room price is high for what you get.I've seen in high season prices go up to 500eur per night, crazy if you pay that!
The worst thing is the prices at the restaurant: 9eur for 1L bottle of water, 18eur for a 2scoops ice cream, 6eur for a Coke...prices of a 5star maldives resort. Our next stays of the trip have been in Relais Chateaux with much much more luxury and way less cheaper prices.
To finish we had to wait during 30 min for the owner to arrive and do the check out as there was no one at the reception (classic thing you find in a 5star hotel). The chef who was at the restaurant had to call him and apparently this is very common. Once he arrived, no apologies at all and very rude with us and with the poor chef that had to call him, he literally said to him "you have nothing to do here, go back to the kitchen".

Amazing service! Amazing food! Breakfast and dinner were fabulous. Werner went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. One of the things I wanted to try in the area were oysters. They were amazing at his restaurant, along with Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Champagne. That was a real discovery!
We had no transportation, so Werner drove us as close to the St Michel Abbey as was possible. He took time to rebook our train back to Paris as my wife was interested more in shopping then sightseeing. We managed to see the abbey in one day: in the morning daylight and at night with the back lighting. Must see.
Overall was a great stay, and thank you, Werner, for that.
Not much to do in the village

The hotel is lovely. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Host was welcoming and we enjoyed our meals and wine options at the hotel. It is definitely on the pricey side but we enjoyed the extra space and comfort.
A two minute walk across the road saw us on the pathway leading to the abbey and a view. If you don’t mind walking it is a better and cheaper option than driving to the car park and only around 10 or 15 minutes longer.

the room was spacious.
breakfast was limited. cost was high for what it was. no facilities for a 5 star.

Breakfast not very well organized, they ask a day before to fill a form with what you want to eat, next day it’s not the same…

The sofa bed was really uncomfortable. Add to that a duvet that barely covers the bed when no people are in the bed, but that is too narrow when two bodies are in it. Second, for the price paid, you should have had two extra pillows for that bed.

The attention to detail was exceptional. the room was lovely and luxurious with such nice light. The restaurant was a 5 star as was the hotel. The staff was attentive and anticipated our needs.

Very big room. Very good bed. Luxury bathroom. Very friendly staff.
Location along the road. The restaurant is not cosy. Breakfast to order in detail the day before. Standard choices. Nothing special, what you expect in a 5-star hotel. In total not worth the very high room price. Even 9 euro extra for smoked salmon with breakfast. 21 euro for a basic dessert served in the room.

Good location and nice rooms.
The internet connection did not work in the room but only in the lobby. I had to wait for almost an hour (!) before someone came and asked if I wanted to order something from the bar while I was sitting there. Check-out was no later than 10. When I arrived at the reception at 9.50 there were no staff there. In the end, I called the hotel's phone number but only got an answering machine. Finally a kitchen staff came by and I could say I wanted to check out, he then picked up a person who could do the check out. Breakfast is okay but nothing special.

The duplex suite was excellent, really spacious, comfortable and the air conditioning a godsend in the heat
There were a few things that made you step back and think …”really, how did this get a 5 star rating”. Don’t get me wrong the room was 5 star quality but the the approach to breakfast (you chose your breakfast the night before and had 1 member of staff trying to serve you, cook your food and check people out at the same time), and the staff trying too hard to please too the point of making you feel uncomfortable… waving “Willy the Lobster “ in your face to prove how fresh it was.

The accomodation was very good and suited our family
of 4 adults. The staff were friendly and tried to help us in every way when required.
We liked the idea of planning for breakfast the previous night to avoid wastage.
In terms of Cleanliness, I would rate it 10/10.
The decor of the whole place was fab.
We had a great stay.
It’s very close to Le Mont St Michel and so was perfect for us.
We did not like the scrambled eggs at breakfast, maybe we are used to making it differently here in UK. I am sure if
We had asked for it the way we wanted the staff would help us out. But we didn’t want to make a fuss.

Would have liked to have had a view of Mont Saint-Michel from the hotel.
