Hassle free.
Good quality food and value for money.
Restaurant hours were understandably limited to optimal meal times only. But alternative restaurant close by for late evening meal.

A sweltering night!
Centrally located, convenient to paid parking ( 9am>5.30pm) and only short a walk to nearby bars , restaurants and shops.V ery clean, good size rooms and probably the most powerful shower I've ever used. There is a fine coffee shop and bar on the lower level . As I was meeting friends in town i had no chance to try either, but they were busy, which is a positive thing to see.
I was informed of some renovation works were in progress and there maybe noise ....too right!! At 08.10hrs I was awoken to an almighty sound of drilling that seemed to go through the very walls and foundations, but was over after 15 minutes by which time I was well awake. The room was spacious and clean. However the heating was incredibly hot. I turned off the radiator on arrival ,but to no avail. The hotels hot water feed had two large pipes along the lower wall behind my bed which kept the room sweltering until about 4am so it was difficult to sleep. The heat was compounded by a very low light bulb, possibly a 14w, that so bad I had to use my phone torch to illuminate the areas in shadow .Even with the curtains drawn back it was very poorly lit. I had returned the hotel at 23.30hrs to what I thought was the front main entrance, a double door into the coffee shop through which I had entered earlier in the evening. It was locked and I was looking in various windows to see if there were staff around to let me in,but unknown to me the hotel entrance was to the far side of the building along a side road off the main street, via a narrow door ,as pointed by a bar staff member who saw me in the street looking in. Maybe a sign to direct guests would be helpful. In fairness to management they do warn guests of the likelihood of noise due the construction work and a night club on the premises, but this was closed on the night of my stay. It's still a nice hotel, and I would recommend it ,but just sort out the heating and lighting in the rooms and I'll give it a better review next time.

Great location.
The location
The check in - not a welcoming experience, more about taking a deposit which I wasn’t aware of, then taking payment. Checking into mountjoy might be more pleasant. Shower seemed to be on one temperature.

Probably a good spot for a hen / stag
Location is great and breakfast is tasty
There was no hot water during our stay at all. We were comped breakfast at the end of the trip but this wasnt explained to us until we confirmed with staff upon checkout. It would be great to have more facilities like an iron and a hairdryer We were told the only way to get the hot water working would be to turn on the radiator in the room - which we did and nothing changed. The toilet seat was broken which we reported on day one but nothing was done about it only that they told us that was an issue they already knew about. We also had a do not disturb sign on our room door which was ignored for the hour we left the hotel.

Would rather stay at a Travelodge
Location is great and the restaurant breakfast downstairs was excellent. Refurbished rooms are nice with good mattresses. Restaurant staff all brilliant.
Dark room, terrible lighting, old IKEA furniture that was peeling, horrible mattress and we had no hot water. We complained and they gave us a new room. Second room had been recently refurbished and was much nicer than the first room but there was no mirror near a plug so impossible to blow dry your hair and look at yourself in a mirror at the same time. Rooms clearly designed by a man! No hot water on 2 out of 3 days so we had luke warm showers. We were there to attend a wedding and I ended up curling my hair in the corridor of the hotel as this was the only place I could find a mirror and a plug nearby. Staff eventually found me a mirror but it took very long and we would have been late for the wedding if I had waited. The lights went out in the downstairs corridor when we returned after breakfast one morning. This led to me tripping on the bottom step and falling over onto my knees. Lucking I'm young and healthy so I was fine apart from a carpet burn, if I had been an older person it could have been very serious. I told staff that I had just fallen over and they were panicking about the electricity that they said had gone down. No one came to check on me or make sure I was okay once the lighting had been restored. Pretty shocking service. Very loud music from the nightclub downstairs, didn't bother us as we got back very late anyway but could annoy you if you wanted an early night.
