This place is a gem!

Lovely surprise, this Chambre d'Hotes is truly a gem. The garden is wonderful and the interiors are very curated and furnished. The hosts were the KINDEST and served a wonderful breakfast! If we had known, we had stayed longer!

Unusual B & B in a lovely Valley setting !

An unusual B & B set in an Old Paper Mill in St. Brieuc. The setting was very quiet and the house full of French Character. Our room was lovely (overlooking the gorgeous garden. Bathroom very clean and the Breakfast excellent ! Merci !

Very good

Room was comfortable (yes, the floorboards are a bit creaky, but that is to be expected in an historic house!) . The hosts were very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast.

A kettle in the room would have been nice - there is one in the sitting room downstairs, but on holiday you like to to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee in the morining before getting up! The walk into St Brieuc is a 20 minute steep uphill walk, and most of the restaurants in town are shut on Sundays and Mondays. At the hosts' suggestion we drove to Rosaire-Plage (12 minutes drive away) and ate at the Cote Ouest and Le Rosaire. Not ideal to have to drive to your evening meal, but the food there is very good!

Quiet and relaxed and we made very welcome. There was ample parking along with a lounge and garden to sit in. We had a good breakfast.

Just two comments : we would have liked some drawers or shelves for our clothes. in the bedroom There were none so apart from using the hanging rail, clothes had to stay in our cases. Also the house is much further away from restaurants and shops than we expected.

Lovely choice

Lovely welcome helpful and friendly. Large comfortable room and bathroom, all very modern/new in old mill building (lovely old floorboards!). Safe garage storage for bicycles. Nice breakfast spread with fruit, crepes, dairy free yoghurt, eggs

Lovely, comfortable traditional home

Beautifully preserved, decorated and furnished traditional building. Very comfortable room with good quality bedding, towels etc and all lovely and clean. Quiet at night and a nice walk into town to get a meal.

It would have been lovely to have a kettle in our room for an early morning cup of tea. We're English...it's a cultural thing!

Clean and nice room with kind hosts and good breakfast

Room was nice and clean with a lot of space, also had a new bathroom which is again comfortable and very clean. We had a very packed schedule of traveling, so we could arrive the hotel almost midnight, and our kind hosts waited for us until that hour, thank you very much again for your help. Breakfast was also very good, delicious and big with a lot of food choices. Also, I don't know what products they use but the bed linens were smelling so clean and beautiful, from which you understand they are super clean and can have a great sleep if you are also like me, a bit obsessed with cleanliness of the bed you are sleeping in a hotel. You would be feeling very comfortable about it.

I couldn't find single use sleepers in the room, maybe I couldn't see but if they are not there I think it can be added

Familiär, ruhig, entspannend

Die Unterkunft ist eine alte Papiermühle die umgebaut wurde. Dabei wurde versucht viel der alten Bausubstanz zu erhalten. Das Ergebnis ist eine knorrige Eichentreppe, großzügige Zimmer mit abgeschliffenen Eichenböden und eine helle Einrichtung. Es sind nur 3 Gästezimmer, und daher, zusammen mit dem sehr freundlichen Eigentümerehepaar, eine äußerst angenehme familiäre Atmosphäre. Die Mühle liegt an einem Flüsschen im Tal in einer Sackgasse und ist extrem ruhig, obwohl man nur 20 min (bergauf) benötigt um ins Stadtzentrum zu gelangen. Das Frühstück ist eher französisch orientiert, aber sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Wenn das Wetter es zulässt kann man auch den kleinen Garten genießen.

Ein empfehlenswertes Chambre d'hôtes in ruhiger Lage

Die Unterkunft liegt für eine ehemalige Papiermühle naheliegend in einen Tal unterhalb der Stadt. Die Umgebung ist absolut still. Unser Zimmer im 2. OG war groß und durch zwei großes Fenster hell, mit alten hellen Dielenböden und Platz für einen kleinen Tisch mit zwei Sesseln. Der Empfang durch die Hausherrin war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Den Garten mit entsprechenden Möbeln konnten wir auf Grund der Tageszeit und Temperatur nicht nutzen; wäre aber schön gewesen. Das üppige Frühstück war bestens mit selbstgemachten Apfelküchlein zu allem leckeren Üblichen.

Wenn man träumen würde, gäbe es fußläufig ein Bistro / Restaurant.

Belle aventure et très belle adresse à retenir sans hésitation.

L'attente jusqu'à 17 heures pour prendre notre chambre a été un peu longue mais la suite a été super. Très bel accueil de la part de nos hôtes. Belle chambre et jardin fleuri à disposition où nous avons mangé notre repas du soir. Excellent petit-déjeuner. Mais la suite démontre à quel point Laurence notre hôte a été d'une exquise amabilité! En partant en vélo pour rejoindre le Mont Saint-Michel, j'ai oublié mon sac à dos dans la salle du petit-déjeuner. 40 km plus tard, je m'en suis rendu compte. J'ai alors envoyé un courriel à notre hôte lui demandant d'envoyer mon sac à dos à une adresse que je lui ai communiquée. Et le 26 juin, soit 5 jours plus tard, je retrouvais mon sac, son contenu complet. Encore merci pour cela et pour tout le reste!

Vriendelijke ontvangst in deze zeer smaakvol gerenoveerde chambre d'hotes. We kregen op voorhand een lijst met restaurants, erg handig. Centrum van Saint brieuc is niet op wandelafstand maar dat stoorde ons niet. Ik zou dit verblijf absoluut aanraden.

Agréable séjour de découvertes de cette région des Côtes d'Armor

Agréable, calme et décentré maison avec jardin (que nous n'avons pas pu utiliser à cause du temps moyen) et parc. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et donnent beaucoup de renseignements sur la région à visiter et restaurants à privilégier.

Bon petit-déjeuner. Nous n'avons jamais eu faim mais un peu plus de fromage voire une tranche de jambon auraient, aussi, été appréciés (mais nous n'avons pas demandé !)
