Eleven family members stayed at this cabin in mid-August to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. There were six adults and five kids ranging from age 9 to age 15. The basement was a great space for the kids to hang out in together. We had a few issues during our stay and property management was easy to contact and they fixed the issue immediately. For example, the pull out couch was broken and they made sure to get it fixed the same day. We loved the space, the views, and the occasional bear visitors. Highly recommend!

Extremely disappointed. We entered the cabin to find 4 large king sized box springs in the kitchen, missing kitchen drawer and the insides of the drawers to be filthy. We walked to the lower level and noticed bedding was placed on the bunk beds but they were missing both mattresses. We also attempted to go to the back porch where the hot tub was (which never got hot) but the door handle was broke so we were unable to open it. There were two arcade games which were also broke. We went up to the 3rd level and where hit with heat. It was 81 degrees. The air was set to 60 so we knew it was broke. We contacted the office regarding the issues and they stated someone would be out within 2-4 hrs. We requested to be moved if the issues could not be resolved that day. They stated per the contract if it could not be fixed, we would be moved. Maintenance came and did not have what was needed to fix anything despite being told in the beginning what was needed. We explained the issues again and he told us he needed to go grab another person for assistance. About an hr later, another maintenance person showed with a new door handle. He was able to fix the lower level door but that was it as we had to explain again, all the issues since they were not communicated. About another hr after, he came back with 2 other people. They brought the two bunk bed mattresses and removed the boxes from the kitchen. By this time, the temp had climbed to 85 upstairs where all the bedrooms were located. W

Upon arrival we did not receive the official address and entry code until close to 5pm on the day of check in, wasting our entire first day because of “inspections” that could have been done well before arrival. One representative with Gatlinburg Falls Resort (the company who manages the property) told me that when guest check out the cabin is not cleaned until the day of the next guest arriving, even if that is days away. Of the four king bedrooms, only one had usable beds. The other bedrooms and sofa sleeper had box springs that were completely broken down, on the ground, springs missing, and therefore mattresses that had large sways and ZERO support. the house was VERY dirty. Dust covered the walls, our white socks and bottoms of feet were black from the floors, and couches had crumbs and stains everywhere. The jacuzzi tub did not have usable jets so was only a tub of hot water, and after one use, was unusable because there was no means to refill it. The kitchen cabinets drawers and handles were missing, trim had been ripped off from above the refrigerator, bedroom dresser drawers were broken and completely off nonexistent track, and the cabin had only four rocking chairs on the lowest level to enjoy and zero on the main balcony but was supposed to have over ten. The games in the basement were greasy and grimy, and half of them didn’t even work. Our concerns were avoided completely by rude and disrespectful property management. Cabin has a great location but NOT worth it.

Checkin was smooth. Easy to get to the cabin and beautiful surroundings, however the problems started as soon as we opened the door. We went in to check out everything and the AC upstairs was not working. It was 90 degrees at 10:30 at night! Not what we wanted after a long day traveling! We contacted office and they did send out a portable AC and the wonderful tech checked the filter and it looked like it had not been changed in several months. Putting in a new filter helped the AC work. Problem we had with this was AC was reported not working 4 days BEFORE we arrived! We walked through the upstairs and one of the beds was not made nor did any of the beds have the comforters on them that is advertised in the listing. One of the beds had a broken box springs so our daughter and her fiancé had a hard time sleeping. When we called about this it took over a day for someone to come and then we were told they would have to order one. Also only one bed was comfortable. The other mattresses need to be replaced. When we used the bathrooms upstairs some of them leaked through to the middle floor. The towels in the bathrooms were terrible and very small so I would advise bringing your own. Also some of the bathrooms had no counter space. Shelving would be nice. Kitchen had one drawer completely missing and they were aware of this too just had not replaced it. The outside was very dirty and DEFINITELY not enough lighting where hot tub is located. Very disappointing for $$$$

Very quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the deck. Plenty of space for our large family. The bed frames and/or mattresses need to be replaced on all four king size beds. Kitchen very bare so bring baking pans and dish towels and oven mitts. No starter coffee so bring coffee filters and coffee. Cabin was clean except for kitchen floor - very sticky so we mopped it. And most important we had a couple bears come by ever night to insure we had not left out any food. Neighbors in other cabin had videos of our visitors. Overall we had a wonderful family vacation.

Overall, this was a clean property in a good location. Everything listed on the site was there, but all of the arcade games were unplayable due to sticky buttons. The media room was great and wifi was great. Checking in was a confusing mess. I booked on VRBO and made an initial payment. The day before the trip, I still hadn't had any communication about check-in. I sent a message via the VRBO app and the morning of check-in I received an e-mail from the property management company with a link to a pay site. After I paid for the remainder of the balance, I still received no check-in information. After speaking with a representative on the phone, they assured me that I would receive all that information at 4:00pm via email. When 4:00pm rolled around, no information. At approximately 4:45 I called asking for the information. The representative said quote "technically check-in STARTS at 4:00, I'm not even supposed to give you the adress until the property has been inspected." I understand the situation, they didn't want people checking in early and not until someone had checked the cabin for cleanliness, but "technically at 4:00" just blew my mind. What is the wait time? Technically at 4, but maybe we won't be done inspecting until 6? The rep couldn't give a good answer about their check-in policy and what an acceptable threshold is. There was no explanations of, we are just running behind, or someone called out, or we had more bookings than usual, just technically check-in starts at 4:00. If you book, just know 4 could be 6, and the arcade games are unplayable.
