Almost perfect

If you’re looking for a place where "wellness" means more than just a bowl of green apples in the lobby, Vistamar is the spot. I came for the views, but I stayed for the remote-controlled bed and honestly, I might never go back to a standard mattress again. My room was smarter than I am. It had a TV that actually understood my Netflix login and an XXL bed with electric articulated frames. Pro tip: adjusting your head height to eat snacks in bed is the ultimate peak of human civilization. It’s rare to find a place that feels this sleek but is also genuinely accessible. From the pool lifts to the underfloor heating in the bathroom (heavenly), they’ve thought of everyone. It’s quiet, calm, and blissfully child-free.

For all its modern shine, the Vistamar experience isn’t without its quirks, the kind that remind you perfection is a moving target. The indoor pool was cool, the indoor pool required some work on the tiling, work was ongoing in the gym also restricting use during the visit and putting a little less focus on the wellness aspect of the hotel. Fully understanding though that maintenance is typically done in the off-peak season but this did cause a little frustration but this is an understandable this time of year.

Nice stay.

Shower pressure very good. Great sea view. Spacious and very clean. Comfy beds. Indoor pool very relaxing. Good location.

Avoid room 106 as it is directly above the breakfast room. We had a group of teenagers who had an early breakfast arranged and the continuous chair scraping on tile floors started at 0715. Spoiled it for us. Shower cubicle very small.

Difficult communication

The hotel was clean and pleasant, and suitable for our business associates to stay in during a recent business trip.

The hotel management agreed to move dates of a booking where the guest unexpectedly couldn't travel. We explained and talked about this many times in detail (other guests did stay - we had numerous different room bookings). The receptionist contacted me via WhatsApp to explain the management have agreed to move the booking to future dates which was great news, however they didn't update this on booking.com and consequently ignored all efforts we have made to contact them about this. Very disappointing considering the money we have spent here already. We have multiple business trips planned for the future, but as a result of this, we will seek an alternative hotel in the local area.

Ok for the price, looks lovely

Good location. Has everything you need for a very reasonable price. Toiletries in the room only included handwash that was broken and an all in one hair and bodywash in the shower. View is lovely. Indoor pool is very nice. Breakfast and dinner are a good price. Was able to check in a bit earlier.

Nobody on reception when I arrived, there was a sign saying back in 5 mins, I waited 30mins and didn’t even get an apology when they finally arrived (I stated what time I would be arriving on the form). Kettle doesn’t work in room unless you hold the switch down the whole time. Told reception and they said I would have to wait until the next day, they didn’t even ask for my room number. Buffet breakfast was cold. Very quiet hotel but I guess it’s the time of year. I was the only one at dinner at 8.30pm and they still didn’t have one of the options offered. Bed not the comfiest.

Very disappointed

Quite a nice size room.

Booked all inclusive and only included soft drinks and beer, no staff on the bar and when you rang the bell to call them and they’d eventually come it would take so long to make the drinks. Food very mediocre . So so quiet nothing going on, would not recommend staying here.

Good, welcoming and helpful

The breakfast was good and value for money, Staff very friendly and helpful and so close to the sea.

The constant door slamming, the doors was heavy and the mechanisms are loud and wake you up, plus the cleaners tend to clean the rooms with the doors open making it noisy in the corridors and this noise travels into your room

Perfect choice for those looking for a comfy, central accomodation for star tours in Alicante.

The hotel and the rooms are cosy and comfortable. It is worth having the room with sea view, which is amazing as the hotel is just at the coast but high on a hill. The breakfast tastes good. In "winter season" there are free parkplaces close to the hotel. The staff is friendly, special thanks to the French lady :). It is perfect to travellers who want to stay and sleep at a silent and calm place. As the whole building, even bathrooms are fully barrier-free, many old people prefer it, so i would not suggest it to young party faces :). Villajoyosa is a wonderful place, with an interesting old town, more chocolate manufactures and good contemporary public space developments. The beach is very close and making excursions to the mountains or to Alicante are much easier and cheaper than from e.g. Benidorm. It is a perfect choice for those looking for a central accomodation for star tours to the various attractions of Costa Blanca and Alicante county.

Seafront bargain

The location, the views from our room overlooking the seafront, the facilities on offer, that breakfast was included in the price. We also liked the welcome, the space in the room and the nearby cafe and tapas bar.

That when we went to breakfast at 9am, some of the goods were minimal or unavailable.

Their website said they have beauty treatments/ facials etc which is why I booked, but there wasn’t any available. The staff did get us into a beauty salon 15 mins drive, but if I didn’t have a car a taxi journey would’ve topped up the price.

it has a great location, close to the beach, 5 min walk by the beach to get to the colorful houses… yet in a quiet, relaxing area.

A week of relax!

Very new, nice staff, amazing views of the sea on that side, very good food included, indoor pool and outdoor pool, close to supermarkets, close to tram stop, lovely rooftop.

Not very close to beach or centre, and the hill up on the way back in August heat wasn’t easy, but it’s around 10/15 min.
