Located on a protected cove, this is a great spot to enjoy fishing, swimming and boating. The rental includes a boat dock with lift. The upstairs deck provides great views of Lake Buchanan and the lights on Buchanan Dam at night. The downstairs deck features a gas grill and offers a great place for those staying downstairs to enjoy morning coffee as the sun rises over the lake. Beautiful oak trees, a pecan and peach tree, provide plenty of shade. The larger bedroom upstairs features a king size bed while the slightly smaller guest bedroom has two twin beds. Downstairs is a separate bedroom and bath with its own air conditioning system. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and a set of twin bunk beds. Here is why. We pulled the property off of the nightly rental market when a severe drought dramatically affected our beautiful lake. The drop in the water level was so severe that there was no water under our boat dock. We felt that it was better to take it off the market than risk disappointing our guests. This is a “lake house” first and foremost, and when the lake is no longer out the back door, we knew it was time to lock it up until the drought was over. The heavy rains in central Texas in early July have filled up both Lake Buchanan and Lake Travis. Not only is there more water in the lake, the lake is completely full. So, we have re-activated our lake house and are once again accepting nightly rentals exclusively on the VRBO platform. We want to commend VRBO for supporting us in this decision and for understanding why we locked the house up for the past 3 years. It was right thing to do, and we are ready once again to accept guests. We look forward to seeing you at the lake.
