Stay for night before a cruise

Stayed here night before our cruise. Location was okay -- not really close to anythiing but worked for us since we flew in late and just needed a place to stay.

Not around anything so if you need to do a dinner or something within walking distance, doesn't work.

Comfortable bed, friendly staff, good location, shuttle from the airport, handy to have a gym and computer/printing facilities on site.

The manager Greg Shaw was fantastic through communication, but the hotel was a complete let down .

The buffet in the morning was well stocked and fresh.

When I checked in I wasn't given a room key. I was let in my room by the airport shuttle person. I couldn't leave my room or reach the front desk to obtain a key either. The shower flooded the room in the morning. That explains the buckling of the floor boards. There was also no master security lock on the door. For two women it was an unsafe feeling.

Clean and new but minimal in every way except the price.

Very clean and well maintained.

Minimal facilities but same price as hotels with everything. That is, no room service, no restaurant, no coffee maker in the room. Not even a glass in the room. The hotel location was very isolated so you couldn't walk to shops or restaurants. The free airport shuttle was overloaded so we had to take an Uber instead. Overall poor value.

O.K. Rooms well designed for a one-night stay. No space to fully unpack for longer.

The hotel is good for a 1-nite stand before a flight out. Cheap, cheerful atmosphere. Maintenance and upkeep not great. Already showing signs of wear. Room did not have a desk chair(delivered after complaint) floor tiling is beginning to come undone. Handle on shower water falls off. Daytime desk manager totally displays a not customer-service-friendly attitude. He was helpful but totally reticent to give full and friendly responses. Shuttle to airport - only 3 x a day. But driver told me it is available on other times by demand. Hotel was sparsely occupied on my stay. Would not want to be there if it were anywhere near fully occupied. Breakfast area is way too small to handle large numbers of people. Breakfast choices were varied and well-managed. But the crowd was very small.

Poor appearances and experience

Location - close to Highway

upon arriving there were a lot of people having a meeting in the lobby as well as people having and event with food , in my opinion a lobby is not a place for such events . It should be welcoming and a quiet place . The receptionist checked us in quickly and she was friendly . When we entered the room the vinyl flooring was very badly scratched , broken and unlevel . It was clean however it needs replaced . The pillows were very hard and the linens had a weird smell. The shower had mold and felt unclean. We will never stay at this hotel it was $140 a night and felt like a 2 star hotel . We stayed be wise we were tired from traveling all day and needed to rest. Don’t stay here if you expect to get what you paid for !

A total waste of money…

The location.

We were put in room 208 where the mold was growing visibly and the paint and mold was falling into the shower. It smelled strongly. We then got moved to another room because there were no more king rooms and promised another the next day. Our new room 320 I believe the bathroom door wouldn’t shut so if you did number 2, the whole room smelled. Then we asked for our king room and finally received it hours later. We had to move 3 times for a 2 night stay with no apologies or discounts. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a dog. Not to mention the elevators said the service expiration date was 8/1/2025.. past due

The location is great! The staff is always willing to help everybody. The manager Greg is the best hotel manager I've ever met. He came out to introduce himself and every morning he walked around during breakfast asking the guests if everything was ok. That makes a great manager and an awesome hotel.

When we first walked into the property doors, it smelled like wet dog. We had to wait about 10-15 mins for our room to be ready (even though it was after check in time). We go to our room and the flooring is literally damaged (must’ve had a leak at some point in the unit) but the flooring was lifting. If you want a quick over night stay and can look past the issues, then that’s fine. I wouldn’t stay more than one night.

The staff was friendly, professional. They were some of the most helpful stuff I have experienced in quite a while . Five Star All The Way . The breakfast was very good . The breakfast room was very clean I'm not familiar with the Fort Lauderdale Market but I did think the prices were high for the accommodation . But that just might be Fort Lauderdale

The shuttle driver was very sweet and very helpful but the music he was playing when he picked me up was a bit intimidating. It would be a higher score for him if he played instrumental or something like that. Just when he picks people up.

Great cruise port pit stop!

This is the second time we used this hotel for staying the night before our cruise. It’s a good location for the port. Good value and they updated their breakfast options which made this feel so much better value. The property is very clean and updated which makes this a must stay. And the beds and pillows are comfortable. The hotel seemed full but it was quiet and we didn’t hear any noise disturbances.

We did notice in our room that there was quite a bit of scuffs on walls and our bathroom shower door was missing part of the handle so it couldn’t close properly. This caused a lot of water to escape the shower. As well our room had hard sticky stuff on the table and the cushion where you put your suit case. So a little bit of deep cleaning was needed for our room.

Will never ever use this hotel again and will tell everyone we know.

The room we paid in advance for two queen beds and a baby crip was not reserved for us, we have to sleep 4 person in an one bed room. My 70 years old man slept on the floor without any blanket or bedsheet in a narrow space beside the bed, so we can sleep 2 adaults and one toddler in one bed. There were also some other people arrived in midnight, waiting to get their room before us. They were so angry too. Too bad, we were so tired that night after a long flight, we just wanted to take s rest as soon as possible, so did not think about taking any pictures.
