Important: Off-street parking is available on-site. Due to the gravel surface and occasional extreme high tides, guests may be asked to temporarily relocate vehicles to nearby public parking during rare conditions. Clear parking instructions are provided before arrival. Please do not park in the neighbors gravel area across the way as the gravel is deep. Plenty of parking is provided next to the house.

“The Anchor” was such an amazing experience! The house is modern with many beautiful features including a deck overlooking the marsh with gorgeous sunsets. The house is tucked away and very private, but also within walking distance of the beach and the boardwalk. I highly recommend this VRBO for anyone who wants a balance of peaceful tranquility and nightlife just a 20 min walk away.

As as often in the case, the photography made it look slightly bigger and roomier than it really was. This is a small and somewhat quirky house. The view out over the marsh was much nicer than I thought it would be. I really enjoyed watching the birds, and there were many of them. It rained during most of our trip so we didn’t get out much, but there were a couple of opportunities to go over to the ocean, which is a very short walk from the house. They only thing that was a little odd was, after a few days of rain, I think the tide came in and was higher than usual, but our car was parked where it should’ve been, but the water was still up to the hubcaps. By the next morning, however it had all receded. So no harm done. Overall, however, it was a nice and comfortable little place to get away for a long rainy weekend. I would definitely consider staying there again.

The Anchor was a great place to meet up with family for a long weekend. The kitchen was small but had everything needed. The gathering area was comfortable with a great view of the salt marsh. The beach and restaurants were a couple minutes walk away. We would stay there again if in the area.
