Welcome to Jensen's Bay Retreat – A Cozy Coastal Escape on the Inlet
This beautifully designed home comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests, with 3 spacious bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Each bedroom opens onto a private deck through sliding glass doors, offering peaceful inlet views and fresh ocean breezes right from your room.

Third Bedroom: Queen bed with easy access to a third full bathroom (with tub and shower)
The open-concept main living area features a cozy indoor fireplace (propane), a dining space for family meals, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook at home. Step outside to soak in the covered hot tub, gather around the outdoor fire pit (wood not included), or rinse off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach.
For nature lovers, Jensen’s Bay is nestled within a protected wildlife bird sanctuary, offering an incredible opportunity for birdwatching and connecting with the natural surroundings.

***On-Site Caretaker Suite: Please note that a long-term tenant resides on-site in a separate caretaker suite, as required by Tofino Bylaws for all licensed vacation rentals. The caretaker suite is completely separate from the guest accommodation. You will have private access to the entire vacation rental and all advertised amenities throughout your stay.
IMPORTANT Things to Know/Host Rules (This avoids complaints)
• No parties or events
• Amenities listed are those provided with the property.
• If you require specific items, please ask before booking and we will do our best to assist.
• Renter's Agreement: All guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.
• Age Requirement: The primary guest making the reservation must be at least 25 years of age.
• Maximum Occupancy: In accordance with Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of six (6) guests is permitted, including infants and children. If the number of guests exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to terminate the reservation and require guests to leave the property without refund.
• Minimum Stay Requirements: During peak summer season (July-August), a minimum stay of 3 nights is required (unless it fills a gap)
• All summer bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps between reservations. During the summer season, reservation changes that create a one-night gap between bookings cannot be accommodated, as we do not accept one-night stays.
•Please note that Tofino's bylaws require every vacation rental to have a permanent resident living on the property. At this home, the permanent resident lives in a completely separate side of the home, as the property is designed in a duplex-style layout. Your vacation rental is entirely private, with its own entrance and dedicated outdoor space.
• A minimum stay of three (3) nights is also required for all Canadian Statutory Holiday periods.
• DOG Policy: NO pets of any kind allowed - sorry!
• Quiet Hours: Strict quiet hours are in effect from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be respectful of our neighbours and the local community.
• VRBO: Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30-day cancellation policy. Guests who cancel at least 30 days prior to their arrival date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable.
• Accidental Damage Protection: A $10/day fee is already included in your reservation and covers accidental damages up to $1,000. This does not cover damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, negligence, misuse, or violations of house rules.

If I could give more stars, I would. From booking to changing our booking to just before leaving to during and after our stay the communication was prompt, clear, and very nice. The bedrooms were all comfortable, bathrooms were very clean with bonus lovely smelling soap/shampoo/conditioner. Kitchen was very well-equipped (fridge was an excellent size). Living room is spacious with lots of room to hang out. Location is easy to find. Walking distance to a few beaches.
Definitely recommending to all my friends.

The host was lovely and very responsive, but the house smelled like cat urine. We let the host know, and they delivered candles and baking soda, but the stink then led to a mold reaction for me due to the dampness in the house. I am not sure where the cat smell is coming from, but it was potent throughout the house. There is also evidence of leaks around the skylights, which is likely contributing to these issues and potentially the smell.
